Hey, we all get a little fed up with the Cullen hate now and then. Because, hey, it can be pretty ridiculous.

lol yea didnt realize that it was a crime to speak your mind , i guess now i know not to have an oppinion on anything and just agree with what everyone says  cuz apperantly thats the way things roll here on bsn

It is funny how this thread is the only one still moving in here and he wasn't even a companion or romance. Everytime I scroll down to the off topic forum, I check the DA2 and it is always this thread in the last reply window  .

I think we should have handled that ag99 thing better guys We tend to ream anyone who stirs the water. Sometimes it's justified but we're getting a bit out of hand. A simple, "hey while I agree with you I'm not sure that was the best place to voice your opinion, however valid" should have been all that was necessary.

I don't mean to lecture anyone it's just we don't need to alienate one of our own.

lol yea didnt realize that it was a crime to speak your mind , i guess now i know not to have an oppinion on anything and just agree with what everyone says  cuz apperantly thats the way things roll here on bsn

I think this is about the fifth sixth time I've started to reply to this, so I suppose this time I'll make myself finish after being shamed by Danny...   I doubt anyone hates you, and I know I certainly don't. I think online forum posts can easily be misinterpreted and run amok, and we've all let the Cullen hating turkeys get us down. So, ag99, I don't want you to feel bad. We've all been there... and these are all reasons why constructive Cullen conversations  just don't happen on the main boards.

Thanks guys, sorry if i brought drama into this thread that wasn't exactly my intent, now its true that the way i went about things to make a point wasn't exactly the right way to do it, and i may have gone overboard with my statements, i guess now i see your guys point in why you don't go there to have a convo about Cullen cause it can easily derail into something bad, i promise that from now on i will keep the Cullen thoughts only in this thread because i see now that its not worth it to argue about it over there and it can only bring more hate so once again i apologize for my action

Seriously, though, I think we just all need to follow the universal rule of "If you're kind and respectful, others will be kind and respectful in turn (generally)."

ag99, I realize my response in the main forum probably seemed harsh, but I really did strongly disagree with the nature of your comments and how they represented the rest of the Cullen community. I can't apologize for that, but I can say that I'm genuinely sorry that they made you feel like you don't belong or that your opinions aren't important to us. There's just a time and a place for them, and we all have to make wise choices about what we say and where.

I think a lot of us (myself definitely included, and maybe that's really who I'm talking to here) have a tendency to get patriotic about Cullen, who at the end of the day is just a character. If his character is attacked on the main forums, it's not an attack on us. We shouldn't get this personally riled up about anyone else having feelings that are different from our own. We can definitely set the record straight when things are said about his character that are just plain untrue, but Cullen hate doesn't necessarily equal Cullen fan hate. Even in this forum we sometimes get snippy when someone's interpretation of his character or actions is different from our own (just read some of the fanfiction that's out there!) and that is just not cool. I think I've just decided that to have a strong emotional response about what anyone else thinks about Cullen probably means I need to get out and talk to some real people and gain some perspective.

So there's my mini-rant. See? Rants are fine in this space. We're all ranting. Everyone's ranting today.

I also haven't even really met you because I've been AWOL, so... hey! Excited to see the positive things you bring to the discussion.

about what u said , and yes  looking at it now i do realize that i went
overboard with what i said and it really didnt belong in that thread
what so ever  idk i guess i was just mad cuz everyone else gets the
"spotlight" over there except for Cullen, and ur right  he is just a
fictional character  but DAMN U BW u made him so damn fine its hard to
resist lol  yea i know im crazy sometimes  but oh well , anyway  no hard
feelings and i hope we can get past  this  def. not gonna make the same
mistake twice

OK... reconstructing my post... ahem.

Yay, glad we're all getting along again!  I did want to add one small thing, though, brush. I personally no longer care if someone hates Cullen. Want to murderknife him? Go for it. What riles me up is that seven times out of ten, Cullen character hate is, or becomes, fan hate. And that I can't abide. Nor will I (as the poor devs already know...).

It made me wonder, though: why don't some of the other DA factions seem to have cool slogans? The closest thing the Templars seem to have is that verse from the chant, "Blessed are the peacekeepers, champions of the just." but that's hardly specific or official.

Seem weird to you guys?
