I don't know why he didn't creep me out. It could be I just love, love, love young adult characters. They are so precious and cute to me. Bella Swan does not count. Especially characters coming from abusive backgrounds, it makes me tear up and I just want to hold them. 

Might also be because I did not connect with any other characters. When Rhys was afraid Cole might turn up in his cell, I kind of thought, lol That would be a funny end to this novel *LOL*

Cole: RHYS! I LOVE YOU! *stabby stab*

I usually just want to look after and mother the younger characters, doubly so if they've had a horrible past.

Obviously that differed slightly with Cullen, but that's because he's not the naive helpless type of character despite all the hell he's been through. Plus he's ridiculously attractive, LOL!

With Cullen, I want to see someone who's come to grips with his issues, though they still may occasionally visit him when he's at his most down. He wrestles with these issues (or tries to) in private though. On the outside, he remains (or tries to remain) calm, collected, in control. A figure of decency, authority, and common sense.

Like, more Fenris than Anders? Anders was all about letting you in. 'MY LOVE! I'M IN PAIN, MY LOVE! I'LL ONLY HURT YOU! ALAS!" While Fenris habitually brushed off any attempts at concern (in his own unique and special way haha).

So... I'm doing this mage playthrough of DA:O where I RP that at some point before being conscripted I was made Tranquil (I know there are issues with that... just go with it, LOL.) So far I only fight with my fists (and don't die as often as you'd think on Casual) and choose the most bland dialogue options that I can.

It's pretty interesting so far. What's really interesting is the new way that I end up automatically interpreting my companions' dialogue based on my "situation." Alistair's awkward sarcasm now seems like a shield for how uncomfortable our conversations are, Leliana's patronizing tone sounds like she's speaking down to a child who can't understand her, and Morrigan's chilliness comes across as disgust that she even has to acknowledge me. :/

OMG, that sounds a little awkward. I suppose it's tribute either to the writers or to you RP'ing that the companions dialogue can fit so many different interpretations. Couldn't a Tranquil use at least a staff to pummel people?

The DA:O staffs (staves?) auto-shoot magical attacks, so I'm staying away from them for now. Once I get some of my stats up high enough I should be able to do basic attacks with other kinds of weapons, though. A little stronger, but not as funny as watching my derpy Warden smack stuff with her fists.

Anticipating the weirdness of Zevran hitting on me, though!!

If I say new game, and choose awakenings, and then choose new character, it's giving me all the Origins backgrounds. That's wrong, right? I know I created an Orlesian once... Has anyone else had this problem, or can confirm that I should be seeing an Orlesian warden option...? It's been a while.

your very welcome  idk i have quite a few mods as well but it never conflicted with the awakening  all tho most of my mods are just hairs skins and i think 2 or 3 armor mods

your very welcome  idk i have quite a few mods as well but it never conflicted with the awakening  all tho most of my mods are just hairs skins and i think 2 or 3 armor mods

Well, after trial and error, I later found the advisement in the README for the mod I was using that says you should disable it if you want the GW background for your new Awakenings character. Pfft.  It's a mod that ports some of the Awakenings effects into Origins that you need for Karma's companions, so at least it (sort of) makes sense that it would conflict.

btw R2 since u are a PC user (i hope) do u happen to have starcraft? if so wanna play a match? im bored lol, that and it will kinda help me take my mind off of DA

oh and also for those of u who use steam there is a sale today lots and lots of games for cheap

I did just save the random Vigil's keep soldier who sounds an awful lot like Cullen Greg Ellis. Sucker kept dying before I could save him and get his bandages quest. <_<

Well im glad im not the only one who thinks that, and as for the "hounds"  let them bark  everyone has their own oppinion in witch they are intitled to express it, i suppose. Not everyone can agree on the same thing, For example i dislike Anders  but thats not gonna stop his fans from talking about him still and "defend his honor"
