So here's another thought I had. Given that the random rider is approaching the castle in only one shot, and then the snappy red banner flies only in the other castle pic, what if we're seeing a before and after shot? That in the new pic released today, that's our castle when we first discover it and that's us on our way to the castle for the first time. Then, later on, after we move in and apply our various upgrades and whatnot, the castle looks like it did in the other concept art, with our red Inquisitor pennant now flying on the tower.

There's a tweet from Chris Priestly in twitter thread that says they will. But maybe this is why someone commented that the answer seems to be both yes and no.

OMG we have a secret fortress...I DEMAND A WHITE CAT TO STROKE AND MUSTACHE TO TWIRL....erm ehem.

Anyway the one thing I loved about Awakening more than anything was upgrading the Keep so a chance to do that again sounds good. Maybe when we rediscover the place it's in disrepair and someone suggests rebuilding the joint.

I just don't think they are the same... even a before and after. They are completely different structures. The mountainside on the left side of the castle would have to be completely leveled for it to resemble the "after" pic. Also, everything behind the actual gate would also have to be torn down and leveled.

That said, I do think it could be the same castle, just different artists' interpretation.

Yeah, chances are it'll look completely different in-game to both those pictures anyway.

Agree that this is the most likely interpretation.

BUT that being said, I would expect that any renovations we do could be that extensive. Like what we did with Vigil's Keep, but bigger. Like, when you come back, it's been a couple months and your keep looks totally different. Maybe?

WOW... well i just finished the cat lady and.... it was all kinds of.. weird crazy spooky,confusing , sad stuff.....even tho its a depressing game its very interesting

i wonder if there is a second part, cuz IMO there was some.. unfinished buissness

Remember how I won a contest last month...regarding an artist doing a full colored drawing and print of any character the winner chose?

Anyways, I had won. How did I enter? I had to donate Deviant art points to this artist. Which does cost RL mulah.  Anyways, I've been waiting...the person who came in second had her pick up with in a few days. I sent a note as soon as I found out, of who I wanted...Cullen...I got a note asking what I wanted him to be doing/ wearing all that good stuff. I said it was up to her.

Anyways, time goes by and by and by...not sign of first or third place drawings up...but she's been posting other stuff.

Like stuff she does on her free time and so on. So I thought, maybe my last not never got to her and she's waiting on me. So I recent a simular message and have yet to hear from the artist.

So here's my thing, points cost money. I've donated quite a bit of them. And I do understand that as an artist you some times need to be in the mood to draw certain things...but I mean, I'm running out of ideas.

Am I over reacting? Or do you guys and gals think I should try something else to remind the artist without peeving her off...

Some artists really like to procrastinate. Maybe she is working on it, and it's a slow process. I've seen people wait 3 to 5 months, but if she's posting her own stuff all the time...that kinda sucks. Hmmm. The one time I asked for a commission the artist and I spoke with each other often; she sent me sketches, I told her what I liked and what I didn't like. Perhaps saying the drawing was up to her made her pause; sometimes artists do need to be told how you want something. So, maybe message her saying: "I have an idea for the drawing and if you aren't too far along can we discuss it? If you are far along, then no biggie. Can't wait to see it!"

Hmm. I like Phantom Ginger's suggestion. It is strange that she hasn't responded to your last message. I could also see the commission just taking a while, but you'd think she'd at least say something, like, "It's still on my to do list!"  So if she's unresponsive, I don't think it's rude to send a friendly reminder, keeping in mind that there could be perfectly legitimate reasons that it's taking a while.

So... remember a few months ago when the DA team announced that the new novel would be coming out this spring? That was back when DA was set for a Fall 2013 release. Wonder if that means the book (which may be spoilery) will be pushed back too?

Exactly. She hasn't really responded to anything. I'll wait a while longer, and then send another friendly reminder. I don't mind something taking long, not at all, because I do the same thing. But I do like updates, are being informed of anything that's going on. So I'll wait a bit, send another msg and if she doesn't answer a third one...then I don't know lol. Just a hey, sorry, lots on my list of to do. No big to me. Or even a "can you be more specific about the art you want." No big deal there either...

It's very wrong for her to not respond to your notes. Unfortunately, I wouldn't antagonize her, because she could easily decide it's not worth effort, and there are no immediate consequences to her shafting you. So I'd take the others' advice and write a more insistent (but polite and friendly) note. There's really nothing else you can do. And once you get your sketch, tell everyone else to never commission anything from this artist!
