I wonder if this will be a side quest that we can just come across.

Or even a main quest, and we need to use some ancient Old God cult artifact/knowledge to fix the Veil rip or learn about it?? I'm so excited!  If Old Gods are in the game, I'm SO there. I mean... I suppose I was anyway, but  yayyyy!!! <3<3:wizard:

Maybe that red ring is what we're looking for there. Gah I wish those rings were what we're looking for, but alas...

LOL Now that I heard someone refer to the red ring as a "red lantern ring" I can't take it seriously.

More seriously, it would be cool if the red ring turned out to be some coolass artifact.

Soo... if that concept art is a hidden oasis in the middle of a desert, where could it be?? Whenever I hear desert now, I think Anderfels. We did see the protagonist in a sandstorm. On their way to this temple??

Probably either right in the middle or along the outskirts of it lol.

If we are a Mage we possibly won't need the ring to hear them, but if we do I think the ring would heighten our magic and/or connection to the Fade. However, we would need the ring for all purposes as a Warrior or Rogue. 

The Architect better not go near any of those Gods or I swear I will rip out his stitches.

I'm trying to explain it, but I apologize if I make no sense. A castle has a no gender pronoun.

"Das Schloss" = The Castle

If you're using it in a sentence however without the name (castle, fortress) you use "Es" 

So, if you would say the "castle is hidden", you'd say "Das Schloss is versteckt" but if you want to say that it's hidden without using the word castle, fortress, you're saying "Es ist versteckt"

For a objects you mostly use "es", if you refer to it without the name.

I'm sorry, german is so hard to explain and my english isn't flawless either

Nevermind, if you use the word "Burg" everything I just said goes out the window. It's "Die Burg" and if you want to say that it's hidden, you would say "Sie ist versteckt". Honestly, thats embarassing.

It made sense until that last edit  Most objects take the neuter pronoun in English, too; I don't think we have any that take a gendered pronoun (like your "Burg").

What I was talking about though, is how sometimes in English a person may refer to a ship or car, for example, as female. "She's a beauty, isn't she?" or "Thar she blows!" (Okay, bad example, haha) Even though normally in English you would say: "The ship was sinking." or "It was sinking." BUT you could say... "The Titanic was a beautiful ship; nevertheless, that didn't keep her from sinking into the ocean." 

I don't think I've ever heard someone assign the feminine gender to a building or structure though. But I suppose it could be done with a castle??

It just seems like you would have to be a real idiot (or know very little German) to accidentally use the feminine pronoun. I mean only very, very basic ESL students write stuff like "The girl put on its dress" or "The ball bounced when he hit the ground."

Just got around to watching your trailer discussion vid Lola. Managed to get my speculation juices all flarin' up again! I skimmed over the last few pages, and that concept art is so lovely! I really am loving the vast differences in environments that we're seeing just in these few released shots. I'm going to have a heart attack once we actually get to see them in-game! It's a bit bizarre to think of how much time a lot of us have been hanging around here waiting for info, even more so when I think of how much more time we will have to wait for the actual game.

Alright, back to reading over the last few discussions in more detail now. Hopefully I can come up w/ something to contribute.

Gah!!! This slow loading time on the BSN is killing me! Do you think it's just a server hiccup, or because they are adding something to the forums/website?

Yeah I know, it's been going on and off. One minute it's fine, the next it's slow as hell. Some people are guessing they're upgrading the site regarding towards the "what changes you'd like to see" thread.
