Yeah, I see what you mean. I was just trying to unpack my response, and I think I'm most bothered by the Nate death choice not carrying over because it meant that I missed out on content in DA2. It bums me out that I never get the Nate quest. So perhaps my real quibble is that I would miss out on something because of a particular import choice.Chiantirose1982 wrote...

I'm honestly not that worried about import at all. I mean it never was working perfect anyway, lol.
I'm intrigued to see how they'll import saves from current gen to next gen (if at all).
But like Lola, I am curious to see how they handle the imports. The only real issues would be on who you decided to kill off or not, right? The rest of it was pretty much streamlined down to singular conclusions.
edit: which I realize sounds a bit schizophrenic! I suppose everyone has their own specific choices that are important to them.
I honestly see every DA as a stand alone game and expect nothing to really carry over, if it does, hey thats awesome, but I have a new protagonist, probably new companions and a new story line. Unless choices I made in the other games have HUGE impact, I don't really care.

If I remember right you still can get the Nate quest if you choose one of the preset DA:O saves. Pretty sure it's teh one where the warden died.

I need to see/hear about how our DA2 companions are getting on, especially Anders/Justice since he's likely to be getting himself into more sh!t (plus, my Hawke romanced him so I wanna to know if they're still together). I need to know that Fenris is adjusting to life now that he's free, and that Merrill is safe and hasn't had any more run-ins with demons (beyond the obvious veil rip, I mean). Obviously Varric is doing alright (aside from the facial burn), Isabela seemed fine in the comics, so she's probably doing alright. Seb I'm kinda worried about, I'm hoping he hasn't gone off the rails. I wanna know if Aveline and Donnic have had kids, and that they're also both doing ok. And obviously, I need to make sure that Carver is safe (and hopefully romancing Merrill, they'll be fine together).
Aaaaand finally, (and most importantly), I desperately need to know that Cullen is safe... or, at least saveable if he's gotten himself in trouble, or locked up somewhere.

I agree with you. Even though it has already been said that the Warden's and Hawke's story is done, I don't want Bioware to completely abandon them. I don't need a cameo for every character, a mention would be just fine. I'm very attached to these character's and if Bioware just abandon them like they were nothing, it would break my little heart.LolaLei wrote...

Same as you guys, what's most important to me is how my Hawke looks, that his personality carried through, who he romanced, and that everyone is still alive. (I say "he" but I have some FemHawke's, too)
That's if Hawke is even in the game, Mike Laidlaw did hint at it, but who knows.

Here this explains German nouns better, than I ever could.
Yeah it's what I thought, and it's not so bad; I took Latin, and not only do you have to memorize a noun's gender, but about ten different endings, depending on the word's position in the sentence

Yeah, just the passing mention will do. Like, for example, if we run into Hawke's LI and he/she mentions that they're still together, or that Hawke is safe. Or a passing mention from Varric that Isabela is off pirating or that Merrill and Carver/Bethany and Seb got together (if you didn't romance either companion). *Dodges tomatoes from R2*

Lol, I don't know if it's kinda lame that I get so attached to BioWare's fictional characters, or awesome because they're written so well.

Nah, not lame ... I'm the same
I just meant that I don't need every companion to show up in a cameo and tell me they're fine. A letter or a overheard conversation is enough for me, unless they play a bigger role in the game.

LOL R2.... I don't like either of those pairings either, if it helps.
I purposely made Carver a Warden in my canon playthrough so that he'd still be allowed to romance her, just in case it prevented him from doing so as a Templar. Plus, I was worried that he'd end up on the rebelled Templars side or end up taking red lyrium... he's a bit of a plank, and I like to look after my siblings, even the pretend pixelated ones!
(Also, I prefer to watch Cullen stand up to Meredith on his own without Carver jumping in first.)

You know, there's so much about Dreamers in World of Thedas, that I can't help but think we'll see Feynriel and/or that special power feature more in the future.Chiantirose1982 wrote...
I wouldn't be surprised if Feynriel played a bigger part in DA:I. The consequences when you make him Tranquil are pretty severe for a sidequest. Anders/Justice freaks out about and even fights you, then he breaks up with you if you romanced him and his mother commits suicide if I remember right.
I always let him go to Tevinter, but I got this nagging feeling like he'll be back in some form.

I actually kinda like Merrill x Carver. Bethany I always pictured with Anders if he's not with Hawke.

I don't really see Anders really tolerating Bethany, she's too wishy washy and a bit too pro-circle to be with someone like Anders who is balls-to-the-wall anti-circle. Plus, I dunno if Bethany would be able to handle Justice freaking out every 5 minutes over nothing.
