I wouldn't be surprised if Feynriel played a bigger part in DA:I. The consequences when you make him Tranquil are pretty severe for a sidequest. Anders/Justice freaks out about and even fights you, then he breaks up with you if you romanced him and his mother commits suicide if I remember right.

I always let him go to Tevinter, but I got this nagging feeling like he'll be back in some form.

Really? I don't recall ever seeing/hearing about Anders ending the relationship if you make him Tranquil. I'll test that one out.

I only made him tranquil once... but I don't think it was my Anders romance PT. Interesting! I keep hearing about all these Anders story twists I didn't know about. Like how you get to talk to Justice very briefly in Act 3. V cool.

LOL R2.... I don't like either of those pairings either, if it helps.

I purposely made Carver a Warden in my canon playthrough so that he'd still be allowed to romance her, just in case it prevented him from doing so as a Templar. Plus, I was worried that he'd end up on the rebelled Templars side or end up taking red lyrium... he's a bit of a plank, and I like to look after my siblings, even the pretend pixelated ones!

(Also, I prefer to watch Cullen stand up to Meredith on his own without Carver jumping in first.) :kissing:

LOL Yeah, Carver. I love that he's finally the stand up guy... but he upstages the dear Knight-Captain.

I actually kinda like Merrill x Carver. Bethany I always pictured with Anders if he's not with Hawke.

I don't really see Anders really tolerating Bethany, she's too wishy washy and a bit too pro-circle to be with someone like Anders who is balls-to-the-wall anti-circle. Plus, I dunno if Bethany would be able to handle Justice freaking out every 5 minutes over nothing. :lol::lol:

Yeah, I guess it always seemed to me like she'd  have a crush on him... but no, their relationship probably wouldn't have longevity. LOL Unless he turns her into a crusader like himself.

Might just be the rival path, thats the path I took when I experimented with that quest, but after Anders broke up I quickly reloaded, lol

I kinda felt that Carver would fair better in the Wardens because he got to be apart of an organisation that's very secretive. Finally, he's involved with something that Hawke has nothing to do with, he's privy to things that no one else knows, so it probably made him feel all big and important, completely out of his brother/sister's shadow. Plus, my Warden is his cousin, so she'll look after him if he runs into trouble (as will Alistair).Plus, we already ended the Blight, so we don't have to worry about him dying quite so easily. LOL!

As a Templar I worried that he'd end up as a zealot or becoming one of the jerky Templars, even though he was essentially being looked after by Cullen. Since we don't know what Cullen's fate is, I didn't want to risk Carver falling in with the "wrong crowd". LOL!

... Gosh, I've thought about this waaaaaay too much!

OMG! Way to go, Anders! I'll give him that, the man certainly sticks to his principles! That's totally the sort of thing I could imagine Cullen saying something similar if he was put in that situation... except more angry.

They seem to only really import the major quest decisions, romance status/companion status as well as a few of the bigger side quests like Feynriel or maybe that Keldar quest though that one seems to have resolved itself already.

I actually like...er Cerrill or Marver...

So, out of curiosity, what are you guys looking forward to the most about this new game?

I know obviously we know next to nothing about it so far, but what are your expectations, hopes etc when it finally comes to playing?

I like how Carver sort of matures in the Wardens. Grey Warden Carver coming back to Kirkwall to help his brother/sister awesome...

"In war, victory Champion" still gives me chills :D

At the moment I just want a team of awesome characters and for the game to really go big.  I want an amazing final battle that lasts days (not really days, but for it to be somewhat drawn out)

Cullen. I really hope he is in it as companion, I want to know more about him. Maybe about his childhood, how he became a templar.

Other
than that great story and moments that tuck on my heartstrings even
though I know the outcome (Grunts mission in ME3 still has me tearing up
when Shepard comes out of that cave alone, even though I know he'll be
right there.)

BioWare has always delivered that for me so far, so I believe I will be happy with DA:I once I finally get to play it.

Honestly, I'm most excited about the new lore we'll learn in the new story. I'm obsessively fascinated with Seekers, original Inquisition, Old Gods, "time before the Veil" and it seems like they might touch on all of that. Squee!!!<3

Yeah, it's an incredibly sweet scene. Even though he ****es throughout the game about being in Hawke's shadow it's clear he still cares about Hawke and worries about his/her safety. He just wanted to get out there and seek out his own name and reputation for himself. I don't think he grows quite as much as a Templar, I kinda felt he only joined them to spite Hawke because he was angry at him/her for leaving him at home.

Carver is one of my favourites for sure.

Is it just me or does this story make the whole backlash/death threats all the more tragic.

The thing I'm looking forward to the most (beyond finding out how our ex-companions/characters are getting on) is creating my first ever protagonist and taking our first steps into this new story with a brand new engine.

I think now that I'm familiar with the way DA games work, and now being completely clued up in regards to DA:O and DA2, I'm going to enjoy this new game even more because I now know that I should take my time with the game, pay attention to everything and explore, investigate and ask all the questions etc. I tend to rush through the first playthroughs of any BioWare game because I always want to know what happens next, but this time round I'm looking forward to taking my time, investigating and exploring eveything at a steady pace because the first time with fresh eyes is always the best.

I forgot about Feynriel. I'd like to find out if he's doing alright, and Alain too, presumably he got the hell out of there because I was super careful to make sure he didn't die during the final battle.

My precious Alain :crying: If he makes a cameo or even if we just hear about him, I will squeal with joy.

Wait, Alain doesn't have to die in the final battle? How? I always just see him beeing sucked into the glob monster.

Well, she got crap for something unrelated to Anders though, didn't she? But yeah, it's definitely sad and completely out of order how people treated her.

What I also find kinda sad is that she obviously put a lot of effort into Anders story, but because the game had to be rushed out the door in a year probably half the stuff she wrote got completely cut out. It's a shame.

I'm hoping I don't miss one of the optional companions like Leliana or Fenris....I didn't before, but I don't want to now.

I would hope that Cullen would be a companion or some sort of a romanceable NPC . And for a male protagonist i would like the voice actor to be   Michael C. Hall lol I just like his voice in Dexter :P

Other then that I really hope for a good story like in Origins  and obviosly I would like to have choices that metter and yea I know that they already said that they have implemented that but i wanna see it to believe it:P

Oh and i would also like the option for a happy ending i dont want my protagonist or the whole world to die thats just me tho

okay...abt Alain. Hmm I can't recall. I always seem to see this brown haired male mage get sucked into Orsino.

Can Alain die during the Templar fight. Before Orsino goes all blood magick-y? I mean, what do I need to do to get Alain out alive?
