Late to the party...

I hope I fall in love with the companions the way I did in DA2. And a little bit ME. Even more, I hope I love the romance as much as I loved Hawke x Fenris; it is the reason I joined the forums because I just needed someone to talk to about my feelings for this romance, all my feelings lol 

So it would be great if another pairing came along that affected me that greatly. If Cullen is a companion, I have high hopes for this happening, because he has such depth. And he's not a perfect person (like Fenris).

I hope I'm utterly wowed and blown away and emotionally affected by the story the way I was ME3 (and all of ME, really). So far neither DA game has really affected me that intensely, although I did think the ending of DA2 had a great "cool" factor, and I always get chills when Hawke and Co. walk away, and then after Varric's speech, the song starts playing... very cool.

So just the stuff BW is known for... great characters, romance, and story. I wanna be moved, damn it!

We were talking about Alain awhile back... it makes me realize I'm going to have to make some very detailed and carefully planned canon playthroughs. I can't even remember what decisions I made for my current saves.

Katniss seems relieved and empty in the epilogue... she is isolated with her little fake family lol

The political situation still seems to suck, though there are no more Hunger Games. (I can't remember the end situation too well, but I seem to recall that things weren't great.)

EDIT: Also, Katniss ended up with no allies or friends. The Capital was bad. District 13 was bad. Everyone was bad lol

It felt like the author was trying to tell us... 1. Humanity is base and selfish at its heart... and 2. Greed/Corporatism/Power rules everything, and we can never escape from it. Even when Katniss isolates herself from the world, she is still mentally scarred by what happened. She can't escape.

The only thing I screwed up on in my DA2 canon playthrough was that the rapey templar who's name I've forgotten is still alive. If he's in DAI I'll kill him off then instead.

Does Alain die in DA2 definitely?

She shoots Coin instead of Snow, and Snow dies laughing (literally), and Katniss is put in solitary for...about a week as they figure out what to do with her. They let her go with no celebration or anything; she just returns to her district, mends with Peeta, Haymitch raises geese.

How dare you question Alain's importance; Alain is adorable and perfect. 

He was one of Grace's followers but ran away when the others started doing blood magic. You can send him back to wait with Thrask.

In Act 3, he joins with Grace and Thrask, but Alain actually likes the idea of the Circle, he just wants it to be a happy place, not a place where he is tortured and raped on a daily basis.

Oh ok, just wasnt sure  if that was the Alain u guys were talking about . But for some reason I see Fenryel  as more "important"  then Alain tho,  I mean as to be in DAI idk why,  that is for those who have not made him tranquil 
But I suppose Alain  could play a good part in DAI depending how the story will lay out They both have good potentials

See, I know he helps you fight if you're pro-mage against Orsino-monster. I know that if you don't keep an eye on him then he'll fall in battle, but I don't know if he's just knocked out or not. But then he disappears in the cutscene straight after and isn't in the room as you leave.

Can't recall if he helps in pro-templar when we fight Orsino-monster, or if he becomes mush.

I played as pro templar most of the time and i dont recall seeing him in the room just me my companions Meridith and a bunch of other templars

Feynriel is definitely (IMO) more important to the overall arc of the story than Alain, yeah.

Well with such a minor character, I imagine that if they want Alain to make an appearance or be part of a quest OR A COMPANION OMG then whether or not he survived Orsino-monster won't really matter lol

Even if you tell Cullen to kill them all, I'm sure they could work out a storyline wherein Alain escapes or something, blah blah blah.

If you don't see them die on camera, they didn't die.
