Hm, maybe Morrigan will have a bigger part in DAI than I thought. Cameron Lee mentioned seeing her in-game during the sprints earlier... I guess she must have more than just a cameo then.

Oh god I like Morrigan and all but I really hope they don't overuse her and suffocate us with her. I know she's one of top fan favorites and alll but I hope I don't see her from left to right.LolaLei wrote...

I'll definitely be a bit annoyed if Cullen only gets a sh!tty cameo, minor npc role or a shallow companion/story/romance arc whilst previous companions such as Morrigan and Varric etc get a bucket load of effort and screentime/additional content. Don't get me wrong, I love all the ex-companions, but when they've already had their time to shine in the previous games (and in some cases comics, novels etc) it feels like it's taking away so much potential from other characters.
Why not give previous minor npcs and temp companions like Cullen, Charade, Nathaniel etc a chance to shine instead, we know next to nothing about them.

Agreed. I like Morrigan and I'm looking forward to catching up with her etc, but I think it would be unfair if an ex-romanceable companion took more of the screen time than a character that is new or has had hardly any, like Cullen..

If he was ever going to be one then it should've been when they were working on DA2, but they didn't and they decided to do the whole Bianca thing, which we recently discovered in the comics was named after his deceased girlfriend who he promised on her death bed that he would love no other. So, to cheapen that storyline by making him romantically available to the Inquisitor would, in my opinion, be a big mistake and ruin his story arc. DG even went on and on about how Varric's heart only belongs to Bianca, and even drunkenly ranted on Tumblr about how we shouldn't fan rage or demand to romance non-romanceable companions.
It's a new game, it's time to give other characters a chance.

Maybe she's 'Flemeth' now. Maybe Flemeth finally got her new host body.LolaLei wrote...

I don't see her being with one of the factions since she's more inclined to look out for her own interests than rally around with rebelled mages or whatever. I guess she could have some knowledge of what causes something as dangerous as a veil rip to occur and how to put a stop to it? I mean, she was bumming around in the Fade popping in and out of that mirror 'n' stuff.
Hm, maybe that's how we'll end up entering into the Fade physically to close the tear at the end?

Wow. I never read the comics, this makes me not want Varric to be a LI anymore that story was so cute and makes me love Varric even more.LolaLei wrote...
I mean, I adore Varric and as much as I'd like him to be a romance option I honestly don't feel that he should be.

I think she died whilst they were trying to escape to the surface, or something like that.

I imagine Morrigan will have a major role, not as a companion, but maybe as a Arishok/Meredith/Arl Rendon Howe character who sort of has a part of the story revolve around her. But I doubt she'll be anymore prevalent (?) than Loghain.
Though I <3 Morrigan and my Warden's son so seeing her....AWESOME. I will admit that I don't want her or Varric as companions again. Idk I don't mind it when they were formally minor characters like Merrill or Anders, but plot heavy characters like Morrigan and Varric...er no. They had their time to shine.

Yeah, you find out about it in the Fade (in the comic) when the demons try to trick him into thinking that she was still alive and that they were still stuck living in Ozammar or somewhere Dwarven like that.
I think she died whilst they were trying to escape to the surface, or something like that.
I thought Varric lived on the surface his entire life? Wasn't Ansburg or something?
