Lola, If you don't want to PLAY to get your Hawkes tone, get to the different quest/cutscenes etc you can quickly jump through the game, and change your and your companions settings by using the Console and Debug commands on your PC: http://dragonage.wik...(Dragon_Age_II)

I use it for speedruns or for when I want to get to a point in game but with a different tone of personality, change my party members etc and don't have the save for it. Saves a lot of time. Though! The save files will become totally messed up and corrupted, so it's not good using during gameplay that you want to save for future import. It's just useful for fun.

Ex: runscript zz_mag_debug Can change your flags for siding with Templars/Mages
Ex: runscript zz_per_debug Changes Hawkes personality and tone.
Ex: runscript zz_rdr start | goto | daynight | set | get | talk Will take you just about anywhere in the game.
And more! You can just use it to jump around to most of the cutscenes etc. Get a Hawke, jump to a scene, change the tone/followers etc and record without having to rerun saves all the time.

Or maybe you already know about this? Let me know if you need help getting into it. It's awesome for those that record youtube stuff, like DanaDuchy or FluffyNinjaLlama, showing of EVERY conversation option in game. :)

Edit: I am mentioning this because you said somewhere that you wanted to record all of Cullens conversations and it was taking time?

I had no idea it was possible to do that! That'll save me a lot of time, thanks! Will I be able to change what the outcome of certain actions are? For example, can I do a console command that'll let me change whether or not I made Feynriel tranquil, or let him get possessed by a demon? Or will I need to just jump to the appropriate quest and then play through said quest twice to make both decisions/outcomes?

I actually had a question for you LolaLei. You mentioned a while back that David Gaider said that the Cullen fans backed the writers into a corner with what they could do with his character (or something along those lines) if you don’t mind my asking where did you hear/read that?

In regard to the David Gaider thing, it was something he said in one of the threads. I can't rememeber which one, but I bet R2smuse will have the link handy somewhere. Tbh, we've kinda noticed recently that DG seems to react the same way about any group of fans wanting a particular character or resource implemented. He recently tweeted at E3 that he expected there to be pitchforks over the DAI trailer, even though there wasn't nothing wrong in it, not did it really tell us anything we didn't already know about via the survey leak.

It was something he said about a year ago before he started defending the poor downtrod Cullen fans. Here's where it started, leading to his pitchfork citation a few pages later: http://social.biowar...6663/4#14931387

But, like Lola said, he has since said basically the same thing about the entirety of the fanbase regarding the Fires Above trailer, so I don't think this is a really cullen-specific complaint.

Whether or not he's been punished/blamed for Meredith's death it's bound to have had some effect on him, especially if we do end up rescuing him from some dungeon somewhere, or he too ended up getting tortured by his very own Order etc. I imagine at the very least he's going to feel conflicted about the Order and where he belongs in this world (he's grown up in the Order, so it'll likely be difficult adjusting to the changes, be it as a rebelled templar, Divine loyal templar, or an ex-templar).

This is really what I'm most interested in. Like I've always said, I think he's going to feel like the rug's been pulled out from underneath him with the breaking of the Nevarran Accord and how conflicted his loyalties will become once again. He just decided what *he* thinks the Order stands for at the end of DA2 and then *boom* the Order redefines itself. Heh. Interesting stuff.

Lola, Check out the Wikipage I linked. It should tell you just about all there is to these commands. I never have used it to go back just jumping on ahead and changing my tone, my followers approval and killing stuff when I am in a hurry (Speedruns FTW). But try. :)

You should theoretically be able to change plotflags like that without having to go back. But the greatest thing about this (except the option to skip a lot of gameplay) is being able to change Hawkes dominant tone and class and change the followers approval.

You can use Youtube and check out videos on how to make it working and then just use a safe Char save you don't care about and experiment like crazy! :)

Had a quick look, I don't entirely understand it but I'm still half a sleep. You know those days where you feel like there's fog in your brain? Well, I'm having one of those, lol.

Hm, so that console command thing is good, but it completely screws up trying to get any ambient dialogue because it ruins all the quests so that you can't do them or change the outcomes, plus you can't just jump into any quest, just certain ones. I also can't get the console command to jump me to the finale.

Ok, too bad about the ambient dialogue. Did not understand that it screw over the game so hard. I know it does mess up the savefiles etc, but as I said I don't use all commands, just to hurry things up and perform speedruns. I also use it for annoying bugs, like the endless loadingscreen for the Faith quest before meeting Leliana. Posted Image (hate that bug)

I can get the bulk of the convos, ACT 2 will be easy enough as I don't think you get any ambient dialogue with him at all during that part. It'll be ACT 3 that's the tricky one.
