If they did that to us, they'd have enough tears to keep the BioWare coffee maker running until DA6! We'll find out more about "returning characters" in the coming weeks, so I'm sure we'll know what role Cullen will play before we find out more about new people.


@meanieweenie: Yeah, that gif captures the feels perfectly. It's like, I want to be happy, but I just can't. If I'd read them in the reverse order, it would have been much better. I would have been happy enough about Cullen to lessen the disappointment. The worst part is that I tried really, really hard not to get my hopes up.

So who's gearing up to make "yet another" canon playthrough of DAO and DA2? xDDD I'm gonna pick up my Dalish Warden and HN Warden playthroughs again. Then move on to some awesome canon DA2 playthroughs.

Well usually you can buy next month's magazine issue a week or two ahead of time. Magazines ship to stores first before consummers.

At least it's been like, quadruple-confirmed by now that you won't have to be allied to the Chantry. I remember how concerned you were that the Inquisition would necessitate it.

So now you can say "I'm canceling my preorder cancelation!" (if you're the type that preorders) and maybe, just maybe we'll find other characters to love?

And hey, there's always the hope of a DLC companion a la Seb!!

But for what it's worth, I really enjoyed Galyan too.

I REALLY don't want Varric to be romanceable. I love Bianca's story to much to have him be one. Not that I don't want a dwarven romance, just I don't think Varric would be the right one.

As for Cullen I fully expect him to be a big part of the game, but if he's just a cameo...I'm prepared lol.

I don't know about playing through again now that we've heard that direct imports won't be necessary, but I do really wonder if something like having a dalish elf or dwarven commoner or mage save the world as we know it will be brought up in DA:I.

Ugh I'm actually saving up to build a PC that should be able to run DA:I smoothly on high settings. Until then, I won't be playing any games on PC

Yeah, as much as I love Varric and want to romance him... I wouldn't be able to bring myself to do it knowing what the story behind Bianca is.

Varric just doesn't do it for me! He's an attractive set of pixels, but he just feels like a friend or brother. Do I have a thing against dwarves, no. Give me the DA equivalent of Thoran Oakenshield <3<3<3 ... Yes I'm sure I spelled his name wrong :innocent:

I desperately hope Sera is still in the game. I feel like Cass will clash with my FemPC when I do make her. And this Vivienne seems also very experienced and set in her ways. I like to romance cute, younger girls (and yet I favor Isabela over Merrill...). Vivienne SEEMS to me to be "Bard Girl" from the survey leak. Which is disappointing, because Bard Girl looked cute (young).

As much as I would totally love to get some of that dwarven lovin', in the end I think I'd rather Varric remain platonic w/ our PCs. Hawke and Varric had such an awesome friendship, I can't wait to see how he is going to bond w/ our newest protagonist.
