I think she's going to be a powermad mage, and is it just me or does it look like she has abomination eyes!? Look at her eyes, they are white!iPoohCupCakes wrote...
Yeah I'm really interested in her. A Morrigan 2.0? I was more worried that she would be a Anders 2.0 "MAGES ARE INNOCENT! WE NEED TO BE FREE!!! THE CIRCLE IS A PRISON, THE CAKE IS A LIE!!" in no way she's like Wynne eh? Does that mean she won't stick her nose in my relationships like Wynne did with me and Alistair? If so, I'm cool with her not being like Wynne.Chiantirose1982 wrote...
I'm looking forward to learning more about Vivienne. First when I saw the picture of her, I was a bit worried, thinking that she'll be a "Morrigan 2.0" but then I read that she is pro-circle, but in no way is she like Wynne ... I don't know what to think of her.

This makes me more interested. Is she just bad ass, or just a mean biatch that doesn't care about anyone other than her mages? The speculation...Chiantirose1982 wrote...
But this kinda makes her shine in a different light. Like she gets what she wants by making threats ... I guess we'll see

The GI article made it sound like she might be a very political animal. So perhaps it's not 'muwahaha I want to watch you and the world burn' but more 'I get what I want. period.'iPoohCupCakes wrote...

Now the dwarves had a great make-over (Varric style), I see myself playing as a dwarf one playthrough. Anyone think we'll get a playable Qunari as well?

I dunno. It was tantalizing that MLaw specifically said they weren't sure about a fourth race... I wonder if that might be some kind of stretch goal... LOL or DLC. Pfft.TinuHawke wrote...

I mean I'm sure she takes herself very seriously and considers us brutes for not being as stylish as she is, but all the same... would you be able to crush on that?

As disappointed as I am about the choice of pro-Circle mage, I would really prefer a colder, less fluffy person than Wynne v2.0. When I first read about her, I imagined the worst (Disappointment. Don't judge me.), and Wynne's mothering really, really rubbed me the wrong way.R2s Muse wrote...

Although, a thought occurs. In DA2, we were introduced to the two female LIs and Varric before we learned about any other characters. Now, in DA:I, we've met two women and Varric. Do I sense a pattern? I sense another game where most of my protagonists will be female. Unless they get Stefane Cornicard to voice the male protagonist, of course.

Anyone else find it improbable that Vivienne will be romanceable since she looks so.... silly?

I like how distinctive her outfit is. But... it still looks rather clownish to me. I think I need a better look.iPoohCupCakes wrote...

What's great is that in the Circles we've seen, the mages all looked pretty uniform. Is this a sign that the mage designs will all be more distinctive...? Or, now that Vivienne's out of the Circle she has freedom to dress how she likes?

Maybe the survey only featured people they're unsure about?
Actually, I'm having doubts about whether they're going to avoid duplication of roles or not. If Varric is a companion, do we really need another archer? But that's what Sera is.
Me to and by her description they kind of fill the same role....members of a thieves guild, cocky, not unknown for making an appearance in a tavern. Crap are we gonna have to choose between chest hair and a potentially lovely new character?

Varric and Isabela were both quite similar in that they march to their own beat and are pretty sarcastic, and yet it still worked. Remember too that DA:O had two greatsword-wielding warriors (Sten and Oghren) so the developers may not be afraid to do a little bit of duplication.
For me, the main strike against Sera is the line in the Game Informers article about how Vivienne represents the caliber of companion we can expect -- someone who is pretty much an elite. The article even says we can't expect to travel with the kind of person you'd meet in a tavern (Varric excepted, probably.)

Yes, so maybe it's significant that she's the "leader" of that network? Of course, there's that one concept art in the GI video that looks like her... in a tavern. LOL So who knows.LolaLei wrote...
But wasn't Sera supposed to be the leader of an underground network of thieves or something?
