"Helms Deep meets the Batcave" - I wonder if they're talking about White Spire here? Since it's the right sort of shape if the pictures from the LoTR films are anything to go by, but then you have all the hidden cells and dungeons like the Batcave does... Hm.
"A future so bright, I gotta fight shades" - The Golden City? Probably not, but it would be fun. Perhaps it's a reference to Orlais being colourful and OTT in comparison to Kirkwall being "dull."

I will say that Helm's Deep was a very dark castle in the mountain type deal and not White Spire-ish. Maybe you're thinking Minas Tirith? (I have a LOTR fetish. Sorry.) But it does sound like a fun environment to explore at any rate. I liked thier stick figure guy facing a stick figure dragon on high. LOL
Edit: I need to add the VampOrchid's hair is kick A!

I was thinking White Spire just cos the Helm's Deep building has a tall tower LOL. Maybe what they're describing will be our protagonists "home hub" or the Divine's base of operation?
The stick figure guy made me laugh, I'm wondering if that's supposed to signify another encounter with Flemeth? Maybe she's gonna save the new protagonist's arse, like she did with the Warden and Hawke?

So have any of the DA team made reference to a ComicCon appearance this year? That's only 2 weeks away. Last year they announced Legacy so I'm curious to see if they come out roaring with a bunch of stuff to show. Surely they could be very far along development wise, no? I recall them saying that they'll make no announcements until there's something substantial. Now that ME3 is done, I'm cautiously optimistic for actual news.
DG said something about going to a DragonCon as a presenter. Then the next day he said: "So, hypothetically: if one were to hold a fan contest at a con, what
would be a cool (yet inexpensive) award a creator could give?"
Any idea what the DragonCon is? Would they be likely to announce something there?

I would totally love to have a home base like that.LolaLei wrote...

Lola, could you be thinking of Isengard? (another LotR fan here, sorry) It was closely associated with Helms Deep, and it was an enormous black tower with a lot of caverns underneath. Helms Deep itself was built into the side of a mountain at the end of a cul-de-sac valley. Either one could be considered as the White Spire, though, since that has multi-level dungeons beneath it, and there's nothing in Asunder to suggest that the "spire" references a tower, not a much-tunneled mountain peak.
Anyway, I am totally intrigued by your tweet reportings.
(makes puppy eyes) Please keep them coming...

DragonCon is touted as being the world's largest sci-fi/fantasy convention. I could not imagine a better venue for making announcements. (Disclaimer: I am said to have a limited imagination *snicker*)LolaLei wrote...

Unfortunately, it is held over Labor Day weekend, which is two agonizing months away.

Dragon Con looks like it's end of Aug - Sept. in Atlanta. It's just another sci-fi fantasy convention. I guess there could be an announcement there, although ComicCon is much bigger I think.

I dunno, I was just guessing that maybe the "Helms deep/Batcave" tweet might be refering to the White Spire because I thought it would be cool LOL! (I haven't read Asunder yet so I don't really know what it's supposed to look like) but the multi-level dungeon thing that's supposed to be in the White Spire reminded me of the Batcave.
I'll keep posting stuff up every time I find something. I keep tabs on the voice actors from DA:O and DA2 just incase. Adam Howden let something slip a while back that could suggest something but I'm not sure.

And see... this is what happens when I don't pay attention. Dragon Con is bigger. Lesson learned.

The White Spire in Asunder is the Circle in Val Royaux and a Templar stronghold. berelinde is right - Orthanc was what I envisioned while reading as well. There could be many levels of dungeons below.

Sounds about right. My theory is they'll tell us more about DA3 in August anyway because the ME3 hype will have calmed down by then.

Adam Howden ...I keep thinking about what you told me and I want to kill Anders all over again. lol
I kid, I kid. I keep Anders alive so that the full implications of his actions can sink in, but I understand why a lot of people feel the need to do otherwise.
I confess to great curiosity about what was actually said, but I'll live if I don't get it. Everything gets distorted over the internet and the most innocuous things become unforgivable insults with surprising frequency. And then again, everybody has an off day. Without knowing the details... and I'm totally not prying and I mean that sincerely... I'd like to think that the guy was just trying to be clever rather than consciously being a dick.

Honestly, it's not even worth mentioning. I was probably over reacting anyway knowing me.

Ok . . . so, do you think that DG and the rest of his crew read forum threads like these? I know they read some, but what about this one?
I've often wondered this too. I know they've visited some of the other romance/official threads, even the ones that fans have made, so they definitely drop in. I think a lot of them are probably too horrified to post in most of them though, some of the stuff that goes on in this part of the forum is pretty shady LOL!
Secretly I like to think that they lurk in here looking for ideas and feedback regarding Cullen... or at least drop in to have a good laugh at us squeeing! Mind you, for a fan thread I think we bring up some interesting and valid points/concepts about his personality and past.
