There are some people who I would enjoy playing in multi-player mode with because it would add to an already established sense of camaraderie. I would totally be on board with bashing genlocks with my friend and modding partner cmorgan. We've taken on uglier foes. Or with Lola because her comments would make me giggle until I couldn't breathe. R2s Muse would make me think about what I was doing, and I'd probably be a lot less reckless than I might be otherwise. So yeah, it it was an optional thing, I'd be into it.
Most importantly, though, I wouldn't want the single-player game to suffer. Most of the time, when I play, I do it by myself. I wouldn't want the best outcome to be reserved for those with the most online friends, because I tend to be a very private person and don't do social networking, as a rule.
LOL I'm terrible at multi-player so I'd mostly be swearing and dying!

Please, Maker, not Tallis. Anybody but her. I know, a lot of people like her, but the worst writer I know couldn't have designed such a speshul creature if she tried. The chick *never* loses a banter. Her "opportunities to shine" all come at the expense of characters I like. Please... no. Just no.LolaLei wrote...
I do wonder who they've picked for companions (if they've picked anyone from the previous 2 games), a lot of people seem to think Charade will be a companion, but I can't see that happening if we're getting Cassandra as well (and probably Tallis, since the boys like her and DG 'n' co are friends with Felicia Day.)

Agreed. I'd be seriously concerned that it would become "The Tallis Show" rather than being about the protagonist and the storyline. I could imagine she would end up being involved in every little thing including the main plot, even though she probably has no legit reason to be the plot heavy companion.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against her VA, but when you start letting your friends appear in your games/movies/etc favoritism begins to happen and it becomes all about that person's character.

Egad. ^This. I hate to say it... but she might finally be a companion I wouldn't recruit.berelinde wrote...

And I'd be like Morrigan, blasting sheets because I felt like it and totally failing to reserve my mana for the important stuff like "teh buffz" or "teh healz". There's a really good reason why I don't attempt solo challenges.LolaLei wrote...

Dude, this is why I don't tread elsewhere. You can't change some people's mind, and that one seems a bit aggro. I'd just give up. Anyhoo, that idea of theirs is also very old. For example, here's greywardens.com's take on it.LolaLei wrote...
