I certainly don't hide it, but I am made aware by my surroundings that it's a weird thing for me to be so into. Even guys who are into it themselves find it a bit strange, apparantly.

Nah, though admittedly none of my girl friends are gamers, which is a pity. Nonetheless, I'm still trying to bring them to the dark side.Commander Kurt wrote...
On that note, is gaming a guilty pleasure for anyone here?

It is for me sometimes. Especially when I meet other females. They think its childish and of course totally evil. So I mostly just chat with men about video games.

I can read a little of it. On the Rogue poster, the bottom group is called "Lockpicking" (no surprise), on the Mage the bottom one says "Creation." I suppose the others match things we already know... except for what's under the white card on the mage poster.berelinde wrote...

Oh my goodness, I absolutely adore the look of the preset protagonists. The details on their faces with the pores, scars, beauty spots and freckles are AMAZING!
Those are just very high-poly scultped versions of a lw poly model its not gonna look exactly the same in game since eveny engine has a number of poly limitations most of the times they just make normal maps with the high detail and put it on the LOD version but depending on how its going to render its not gonna look exactly the same

Interesting, though, that our racial selections won't come into the story much until the middle of the game. I imagine a lot of players won't get that memo and then will be annoyed that NPC's *never* notice their Inquisitor's race. Wonder what happens at the middle that switches things up?
Also, Mike Laidlaw had an adorable childlike quality that makes me want to hug him.
Kinda hinted too that dwarf players will be surfacers. Kind of obvious, I guess, but still cool to know.

I'm also digging on the Inquisitor symbol on their outfits. Not so much the gigantic floppy collars. LOL
I KNEW you'd notice those!!!
Are they a little different, or is it just me?

LOL Yeah, M Darrah was very cagey about our "opposition" to the Chantry... and how that somehow ties into our issues as a non-human. Hmmm... I mean, non-humans obviously aren't friends to the Chantry anyway... but I wonder what he means by that. He seemed to sorta stumble over the words there. LOLbrushyourteeth wrote...
So, Mark Darrah repeating AGAIN that the Inquisition begins "opposed to the Chantry." Will that man ever explain what the heck he means by that?!?!

Observe my previous Figure 1 from the trailer... Ahem ahem ...

The eyeball is different than before. The pupil is smaller. The sunbeams more stylized and simplified. But it matches the symbol also on the new concept art from last week's video.

I really think it must just be a very poor choice of words. They've said over and over again that we can choose to work with the Chantry... or not.
Now, "Some factions within the Chantry are pissed about your newfound authority" sounds a little more realistic. I wish they'd just say that if that's what they mean.

Yeah, some ladies really value the "Men are from Mars..." Trope. Or they consider it to be cheating, like sharing men's interests is just a ploy to get in their pants. :innocent:

Well, I would imagine that the Chantry wouldn't be too pleased about the Inquisition reforming anyway, so from that stance it would explain why we're initally "opposed" to the Chantry, since clearly at that point they're not helping the situation. My guess is that later in the game we could align ourselves with them if we wanted.
