You know I was sympathizing with Loghain up until the last bit with Katriel. I dunno that just rubbed me the wrong way. Love to hate him....love to hate him.

ugh I hated Kathriel he was right about her that she was trouble  but Maric was to stupid to realize it

I didn't hate Katriel. I just didn't particularly like her. Fiona tho. Love her.

lol i guess Maric has a thing for female elvs, I felt really sorry for Rowan tho she deserved better...

Yes she did. I loved Rowan. That's ANOTHER thing I was upset about in Origins. Loghain didn't just betray Maric. He betrayed Rowan too. Cailan was Rowan's son as much as Maric's. *Sniff*

The only reason he went "crazy"  over Cailan  is because he wanted to bring orlesians in  and Loghain HATED orlesians because of what they did to his family like in the book  they mention that they raped his mother in front of him and his father and they they killed her so yea I would be pissed with Cailan too

Well, I know why he did what he did. Just still hurts to watch.
""After all this time?"
"Always,"" <- That's right. I just quoted Harry Potter. But it fit my point. LOL

lol  well before i read the book and played origins at 1st  yea i felt sorry for Cailan  and i thought Loghain  was an arse but after i read the book  i dont blame him  but i suppose he could have handled it diffrently tho instead of letting  his son-in-law die but i guess in the heat of the moment he just said  fuk it  its easier this way... idk

Well...Lol, I suppose if he had handled it different, we wouldn't have had a game, now would we? Lol. So in the end, in a weird round about way, Im glad he did it. Haha

lol yea thats true we wouldnt have had a game otherwise or we would have but just diffrent im thinking that if Cailan didn't  die  he then maybe would have had an affair with empressCeline  and maybe the orlesians  would want to rule Ferelden again  and then the history would just repeted itself for Loghain

You know I've been wondering where you all think we're going to start the game and how actiony do you expect it to be? I'm wondering how our character of whatever race gets where they do. Is there a little blurb at the beginning? You are a member of the Howe family disgraced during the Fifth Blight due to the actions of your cousin Arl Rendon Howe. You left years later and found yourself etc etc.

G'night! But please allow me to respectfully disagree. I'm a calligrapher. I know about white space and letter density, even if the text is illegible. That's -----N, not -----T. The density through the middle of the minim is different. And I'm betting that brush is right about Clavel. There's definitely a C, followed by a left-centered ascender and a visually dense letter like a lowercase "a" and toward the end, another visually dense letter like "e" and another lef-centered ascender. One of those ascenders could be something else like a lower-case H or a B, but they don't really roll off the tongue.

Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt, berelinde! Those letters all appear to be in capitals -- do those rules still mostly apply, then? A's are still dense and so are E's?

For the record, it won't matter to me much if "CLAVEL" ends up way off or someone else has a better guess since we're all just taking our best guesses and we'll all find out in the end. But if it ends up right (or close), then booyah! LOL!!  Image IPB

I am also in the Clavel camp, however amusing Clairol would be :))) Just seems to work pretty well.

OK... so one person we haven't really seen sign of is Cole. Of course, we still have no idea what things from the leaked survey will end up being incorrect, but let's go with it for now.

Here's his description.
Cole:
A long time ago, a young man died a cruel death in a dark place. And now,
somehow, there is Cole. Was he a spirit of a demon? Is he human now?
Cole’s not sure it matters anymore. Hounded by memories that aren’t his, invisible
in a world he can stalk like a shadow
, the rogue must decide between
joining the living or preying on them.

You know, we keep making jokes about how we haven't seen Cole yet because he's a ghost/invisible. Or at least, I was thinking of them as purely jokes, because I was imagining Cole would have to be, you know, visible at last in order to be a companion. I'm noticing now, though, that his description specifically says "invisible." LOL Huh. How's that gonna work??

I haven't read the Asunder yet but from what I've seen so far Cole sounds interesting enough that I wouldn't mind him as a companion. I don't mind the creepy factor and his existence on the verge of two words is interesting. Since origins I wished for a cold and calculating follower that would be quite ruthless and keen on getting his hands dirty (and quite indifferent to some extent). My first pt is usually goody two shoes who tries to be friends with everybody, but my second typically tries to explore more shady and selfish character with hidden agenda.

If there is a little blurb at the beginning, I would be half expecting Duncan to say it ( he has the right authoritative voice), but alas that won't be the case *sniff*

I have to admit, there is so much speculation, I don't know what to think.  It makes your mind spin! But a GW fortress seems a good starting point. Chiantirose mentioned Corypheus earlier and it was implied he possesses either Larius or Janeka. So if he is in GW form, he could cause a bit of havoc.

I hope there is some sort of little blurb at the beginning of the game explaining the situation in Thedas and/or a little about our character by the Divine, Morrigan, Flemeth or even our protagonist him/herself.

I need some opinions here. Asunder really sounds interesting and I'm thinking of buying the book. Should I get the others too or will I know whats going on just from playing the games? I bought the ME books and I couldn't finish either of them, I tried and it kinda upset me because I really love the Universe, but I just couldn't get through it. Anyway, just get Asunder or are the other one good books as well?

And what about the comics? I'm not a comic fan, so it really needs to grab my attention for me to get through it.

If you like the universe and want to find out more about important characters, then it is worth it. I, for once, very much enjoyed the first two books, though The Calling was much better than The Stolen Throne imho (I mean quality of writing). It just adds this extra something when you replay the game. I haven't read the Asunder yet, but it is patiently waiting for me finishing this pt of both games. I haven't read any of the ME books but I've heard that they are not as good as DA ones.

If you're looking to find out more potential info about DAI then Asunder would definitely be the one to read, because it fills in a few gaps surrounding the whole mage/templar issue.

Meh, if it gets out of hand then that too will get closed down. It's not worth getting annoyed by, if people are getting their knickers in such a twist over a minor character that they feel the need to attack or hate it/the fans then they've clearly got a few mental issues lol.

Like I said before, the majority of them wouldn't have the balls to say anything to our faces in real life. It's just the way of the keyboard warrior.

True but idk its just bothers me that every single time  a thread like this pops up ppl would emidietly bring up the  "Fangirls"  wich we mostly spend our time in here and mind our own buissness i hate ignorant ppl that think that ALL we do is just drool over Cullen and talk  of nothing else but him (witch in some  cases we do get excited about  him form time to time when we hear news but most of the time we talk about other stuff)  personally i find more inteligent convos in this thread then i do in the DAI forums

Is there a little blurb at the beginning? You are a member of the Howe family disgraced during the Fifth Blight due to the actions of your cousin Arl Rendon Howe. You left years later and found yourself etc etc.

It really depends on the background of the character. What I'm guessing is that for the humans we're just going to get either a noble or a commoner. Something like; your hometown is under attack you use your talented combat skills to try to save your home and stuff yada yada yada. You end up out numbered and have to flee leaving everything behind. And for the mages I guess wherever the circle is located get's attacked too and you end up surviving.

What I want to happen? For the human rouge/warrior I want to be a street rat whose parents died a long time ago (maybe fighting in the blight or something) Therefore, leading the inquisitor's aunt or uncle to raise us in our hometown (whatever it maye be) Everybody spoke highly of how good the inquisitor's combat skills are and how people saw her (or him)  going places even if she was just a street rat. When the veil rips everything turns to crap. Everyone relies on the inquisitor for help. The inquisitor and others tried to fight off the demons but were out numbered. To make things worse, the inquisitors aunt/uncle goes missing. After trying countless times to find her/him, the inquisitors friend/crush helps her escape the village. The childhood friend decides to stay behind in hopes of reclaiming their village. The inquisitor never finds out until later if their crush made it out alive or not or if their aunt/uncle is alive.

For the mage I want to be a born rebel. Our parents met in the circle and both decided that they were tired of being held prisoner and broke out. Once the two were free they had a baby. The inquisitor. Our father was very talented with his magic and passed down all his knowledge to us and having his number one rule be not doing blood magic.[/i] He was 100% against it. The family was happy despite having to stay hidden and move almost all the time just because they were all mages. Then guess what? The veil rips in a village the family was currently in. The inquisitor decides to put her magic and everything her father taught her to the test. The inquisitor was doing great, but not great enough to save the entire village. She managed to save her parents and escaped the village with them. The inquisitor realized just how great she managed her magic and how powerful she is, she decides to stop running. Her parent's disagreed and wanted her to stay, but her mind was made up. She left her parents and decided to start her own life.

That's what I want to happen. For the elves and dwarves I don't know.. I never played as either sadly so I can't really make up something.

That thread is actually getting offensive...why does it bug people so much? I mean, there are people already in the Vivienne 'loveboat', we don't know too much about her either. whats the issue? Ah well, guess its time to get another chuckle out of the--what was the term used?--Keyboard warriors?--of BSN.
