I was checking out the vid, Lola. Brilliant as always, btw.

Morrigan: When I recently did a PT w/the DR, Morrigan makes it clear that Flemeth..and Morrigan were all abt the OGB.

Morrigan says that Flemeth was the one that showed her the spell, and taught her how to use it. Morrigan asks, "Didn't you wonder why she saved your life? This is why."

Maybe she was lying, but if not, I wonder. Will Morrigan have a stand off w/Flemeth over the OGB? Will Flemeth want to do...something w/the kid, and Morrigan is like oh, hell no. A mother fighting for her child would be very human.

Although, somehow I don't think we're gonna see much of Flemeth this time.

Ack, and I'd hate to see Flemeth made out to be a really bad guy. Right now she's mysterious, and kinda dangerous. Yet, she keeps saving my life. And when Merril would bow to her, she stated the "Do you know who I am beyond that title?...Then rise. The Ppl are to quick to bend their knee." Which doesn't sound like a power hungry entity to me.

Regardless, those two were very much in cahoots from the get go.

That's what makes me think that Flemeth and Morrigan really just want the same thing.

Here's what thought came to my head:
Morrigan has you 'kill' Flemeth.
Some of Flemeth's power transfers to Morrigan. Power that is necessary to produce the OGB.

I'm thinking they're working in cahoots .... whether Morrigan realizes it or not is another question.

Maybe it's clearer on my monitor or something, but I'm not having any trouble making out what's happening in those concept pieces?

Image IPB

That is definitely the Beardy Grey Warden who is dying of laughter at... probably whatever story the blonde girl/Sera is telling. I really like this image because it shows he's completely different to the serious butt we were expecting at first. He is if this concept is an indication of his in-game character, anyway.

On Sera's otherside is... I'm going to guess that's Cassandra. We can't make out any features on the character, but the figure's hair/armour looks a bit Cassandra-esque.

Image IPB

This is just the edge of that same picture, and you can see the grey in his hair, the corner of his mouth, and the moustache bit of his beard.

Image IPB

But the flaily freaking out guy isn't Beardy Grey Warden at all. Not unless he had a radical design change. (which isn't impossible, but I think it's more likely this is Trident Guy if we're comparing him with people from the survey.)

And there's my take on the concept art. :wizard:

Yeah, the dude freaking out looks like he'd be Trident Guy... whether or not that trident is supposed to be a mage staff I don't know, but if it is then it's probably Dorian.

I never kill Flemeth, tho. I just don't feel I have enuf info to do so. And besides I kinda owed her one. After the whole Tower of Ishal thing.

Ofc, Flemeth assumes I'm gonna lie to Morrigan. Even seems to be displeased abt it. Something abt the way she says it. And the closest I get to telling Morrigan the truth is, "No, it really wasn't that horrific. Trust me." I woulda prefered to be able to tell her that I didn't kill Flemeth and why.

Point is, the DR was still available to do.

Yep, you said exactly what I said and thought :D

As for Morrigan v. Flemeth... I tend to stand on Flemeth's side. I respect her so much more. Who asked the Warden to kill someone, Morrigan or Flemeth? Who's saved your character twice, Morrigan or Flemeth? Morrigan has shown herself to be almost completely without empathy or kindness. I also played Witch Hunt and get pretty much zero mothering vibes from her, but that's just a judgment call on my part. Flemeth on the other hand saved Hawke when she didn't have to. (Maybe she did it for a reason; maybe she didn't.) Flemeth also, as was pointed out, showed kindness to Merrill, and to others in your party during that encounter.

I feel if Flemeth proves to be evil, it will be a sad and shoddy end to her character. Flemeth to me is more like a faerie, a god-like amoral creature who amuses herself with humankind but isn't necessarily good or evil. Morrigan on the other hand is very human (although we don't know what she physically is; if she truly is Flemeth's biological daughter, she could be not-human). She is... I don't want to say selfish, because that conveys the wrong thing. But she looks out for #1 (not that I blame her).

I definitely hope I'm not forced to be buddies with Morrigan and defeat my "enemy" Flemeth :P

I didn't kill her in my first playthrough, because I freakin' adore Flemeth. I kill her everytime now for that dragon fight, though. And because my Wardens are always BFFs with Morrigan by that point. Sorry, Flemeth.

I side with Morrigan because, from my Warden's point of view, she considers Morrigan a friend. Whether or not that was actually a good decision, we'll see! Tbh, I'd probably always side with Morrigan anyway -- considering Warden's view or not -- I just love Morrigan. :-p

You know on Morr v Flem, I totally agree with you. And yet... I always kill her. Huh, I wonder why. I think, when I'm playing the game, my characters totally buy the body snatching story, hook line and sinker. That seems like a stinky thing to do to someone, so I help Morrigan. And, I suppose my characters have no idea about the whole Morrigan+Flemeth collaboration re: OGB at that point. Also... I think I didn't really t hink about it much at the time. I wasn't really steeped in DA stuff when I did my real Origins playthroughs... and I don't think I really totally got how cool Flemeth was/is.

I did it because Morrigan told me to, and my Warden trusted her (rightly or wrongly). That and Morrigan looks kinda like me, so I figured I'd just do what my pixel-twin tells me to, LOL!

When it comes down to it, unless they make it obvious that Flemeth is someone I shouldn't side with (and I would be so, so sad if Flemeth turns into the baddie of the hour), I'll be on Flemeth's side. I still love Morrigan, but Flemeth is like... my favourite woman in the whole damn series.

At sum point when I'm talking to Flemeth, gah, I can't really remember. But I ask her sumthing abt Does Morrigan know? (sumthing)

And Flemeth replied that yes, she does know the truth--or sumthing like that. Then she says "But the question is, do you?"

I'm like, what? What's that supposed to mea?. Stop you're Trixie riddles Woman!

Yeah, it does look like an animal pelt... And, a Jersey shore haircut. I sure hope the maybe!Trident guy in the stabbing picture is actually Trident Guy, since I prefer the newer(?) design.

Yup. That's it! I love Flemeth when she shows up in DA2 but her excuses aren't good enough in DA:O so off with her head. Plus Morrigan's my bud so... sorry old lady. I need the loot.

On Sera's otherside is... I'm going to guess that's Cassandra. We can't make out any features on the character, but the figure's hair/armour looks a bit Cassandra-esque.

That one actually looks like a guy to me... although I agree he seems generally featureless. For some reason, my brain keeps seeing this dude from Star Trek Enterprise.

And... I'm starting to feel like it's a Rorschach test. I keep seeing different shapes in it... but I think I'm finally seeing what other folks are seeing. Laughing bearded dude. Spooky masked dude. Malcolm Reed from Enterprise. :P

Is this a bad time to reveal that I dated a guy right after high school that looked a whole lot like Donny Wahlberg? I didn't know it until he came to pick me up one day and my little sister freaked out. Image IPB

Ha! That he does!

I was wondering what it was. There was something abt him that was bothering me, but I couldn't place it.

I hope the concept art is a redesign Since seeing as how he's on the comapnion inventory thing. Seem he's in game companion....

And yet he looks the same on the Inventory thing...

I respect both Flemeth and Morrigan but i dont trust either of them because for one Morrigan as MMG mentioned is mostly out for herself and Flemeth while she seems "nice" that she helps out the warden and Hawke and Marric she seems very shady to me like she's being "nice" for a reason but she has something bad planned that we might find out in DAI
