Lol! Leliana has a knack for trolling people, I see ;-) For some reason, I never got either of those scenes, even when I brought Leliana and Morrigan with me during my play throughs. In fact, the Templar guy made a pass at MY character.

Yeah, I've never gotten those either, but I think I usually persuade or intimidate him. I've never seen him get cheeky like that in my games, irritating little blighter.

Regarding his willingness to get cheeky with Lel and Morr, let's keep in mind that the templars don't take vows of chastity or celibacy. They're just discouraged from having relationships or fraternizing amongst with templars or mages (so in Ferelden, basically everyone they actually come into contact with on a regular basis). I wouldn't be surprised if those Kinloch boys were horndogs like that around outsiders, since they probably don't see many girls who aren't off limits.

In Cullen's case, Amell's off limits. But I get the sense that his own personal code involves lots of chivalry and prudishness, like Alistair who claims  he learned that growing up at the Chantry. So, I don't really see it as necessarily being a retcon.

No way, I just found out Gideon Emery (Fenris' VA) sings as well. Different style to Greg Ellis though. Is that a thing with actors? Can they all sing or something?

Not to my knowledge. Here's what DG says again. In DA:O, there are hints that templars are trained as initiates according to the Chantry Hierarchy codex, suggesting vows in a roundabout way. So I agree that it's strongly suggested at times, but I don't think there's anything that says so.

Lola, to answer your question... many actor can sing and many simple CAN NOT and/or SHOULD NOT. Trust me. LOL

More on retconning... I still feel that the "ok, well, sometimes they can get permission and get married... like this brand new DA2 character..." thing they did with Aveline and Wesley smacks of retconning. But technically speaking, I haven't found anything that says templars take chastity vows.

EDIT: except for a line in DA: Redemption, where the templar dude says he's married to the church... but not really canon, and probably just a mistake...

It's like something out of a bloody horror movie isn't it! I dread to think how many kids have been lured into some dirty old mans home through those bake sales and things.
