If that's any indication of how the game is going to open, though, I do wonder how our character will fit into it...

Even though there was no mention of Cullen in the article today, I thought that the discussion of how they want to show a less extreme side of the conflict bodes well for his inclusion in some capacity. To me Cullen in DA2 pretty much represented the decent/reasonable man as Templar figure. If this is aligned with how the devs see his role (and it may very well not be) then he would be a logical character to select to continue the theme. I'm pretty much 100% that he'll to show up in DAI somewhere....fingers crossed.

I do wish we had a tiny bit of new info to speculate on. I found the article interesting, at least when it comes to what it said about Cassandra and Inquisition, but it's not the kind of info we can ponder on for hours. *scratches chin*

Yeah, I think after this month there's gonna be no information until like Spring next year lol.
But anyway, I was wondering how we'd fit in too. I was under the impression that the veil rip would happen almost immediately in the game since the Inquisition would need to be formed in order to deal with that, along with everything else, but that made it sound like some sort of mage/templar/chantry thing would happen first before the veil rip.

Oh, he's definitely in the game, his voice actor said as much. What his role is, or if it'll be of any importance remains to be seen.

I agree. And yet that's why it makes me a lil sad panda. It seemed it would have been an opportune time to mention such
However, Idk what they have in mind for his char., if anything. So it 's hard to say.
As far as something to speculate on:
David said that Cass wasn't"just investigating". There's was more going on behind that. And we'll find out as the Inquisition starts up.
What could that be? What was she after? What's going on?!?
alright. I do need to go, tho. <3

Looks like Cass is filling the role of moderate templar-ish person this time around, at least from a companion perspective anyway. I'm a little sad if that's the case. Don't get me wrong, I like Cassandra, but she got a whole massive movie made about her and now she's a companion too. Seems like once again Cullen got shat on.

And if he requires a voice actor we definitely know he's NOT the corpse Varric was looking so unhappy about in the trailer......so all in all things are looking up!

Seriously, though, I do wonder what David meant by that. I do find it hard to believe my Hawke could 'help put it all back together' too, even if he was there in the thick of it. Instead he'd probably end up breaking something else.

I can think of plenty of reasons why she'd want to track down my Hawke. What with letting Anders live and becoming a fugitive with him, slaughtering a Dalish clan, sending powerful mages off to Travinter, killing the son of important parliment dudes, letting a dude sell poisons...

LMAO, I think that's why I love Hawke so much, he was such a rubbish hero!
Aw, man, I'm gonna miss Hawke! <3

I think I went out of my way to make my poor Hawke's life and decisions as bad as possible.
...Which means guess who's gonna be having an "oh, bollock! I should've had Merrill break the mirror!" moment.

Hawke was a tricky one for me to bond with. The most fun or attached I felt to my Hawkette was about 1/3 of the way into my second game when I gave up trying to be heroic and embraced the fact that she really was a total gullible twit. After crossing that bridge, I had a blast with her.
It took a long time for me to find the right type of Hawke that I could gel with. My favourite Hawke combo is a funny/sarcastic male mage. The favourite physical appearance I liked the most on him was rivani skin tone with the long hair and bright grey/blue eyes with a tattoo under one eye. My gawd, he's a ****ing looker. I wish I could recreate him properly on my PC version so that I could show you all.
I'll have to get my saves off the Xbox 360 and load them onto here. I'd do it now but my Xbox 360 broke, so I'll have to go round a friends to do it at some point.
