I had a total blast with my final DA2 play-through, I meta-gamed the whole thing so that I had everyone into friendship (except Carver, who is just bloody impossible! Although I did manage to get him to almost 100%). I did accidentally screw up and let that rapey Templar live, but it's ok, it'll make for an interesting encounter in DAI (if he shows up).

Hawke was a tricky one for me to bond with. The most fun or attached I felt to my Hawkette was about 1/3 of the way into my second game when I gave up trying to be heroic and embraced the fact that she really was a total gullible twit. After crossing that bridge, I had a blast with her.

It took a long time for me to find the right type of Hawke that I could gel with. My favourite Hawke combo is a funny/sarcastic male mage. The favourite physical appearance I liked the most on him was rivani skin tone with the long hair and bright grey/blue eyes with a tattoo under one eye. My gawd, he's a ****ing looker. I wish I could recreate him properly on my PC version so that I could show you all.

I'll have to get my saves off the Xbox 360 and load them onto here. I'd do it now but my Xbox 360 broke, so I'll have to go round a friends to do it at some point.

My Hawke's at least part Rivan with blue eyesi too! Though he has the short, brushed back hair.

I posted him a while back, but just for the hell of it...

And Cullen's there too, to keep us on topic.

My Hawke was friends with everyone... except Fenris. He was full rivalry with Fenris..

And totally best friends with Carver. Which lead to the best Legacy dialogue.

The rivani skin tone with the grey/blue eyes is stunning, it's my favourite choice. My female Warden is just me, so that's not very exciting lol.

My first Inquisitor will be another version of me (not sure what race yet). I dunno if my canon Inquisitor will end up being me though, it depends if I like her voice and if I take a huge liking to one of the romance options in particular, LOL!

Really? What did he say? I remember he apologised to my Hawke when I finally done Legacy. I kept meaning to do MoTA during act 1 because there's a scene at the end where he's all excited explaining to their mother what happened, LOL! I love Carver, he's a sweetheart really. <3

Carver's a big reason why I always play a mage in DA2.

I am still so, so torn on what my first Inquisitor will be:  human mage, elven rogue or dwarven Rogue (sorry warriors). I'm leaning towards mage human, though, because I want to see how much hate she gets.

He's the only reason I play as a mage in DA2, LOL! And Cullen is one of the big reasons why I play a mage in DA:O, I like to get as much interaction as possible with him.

I'm leaning towards Elven mage (if I can make her look like me) just to see how difficult the game is LOL!

I loved Isabela's skin, it was such a pretty mochachino shade. Your characters sound great.

I mod the crap out of my games and in a completely reprehensible reinforcement of gender stereotypes I made my bimbo-Hawke (which is forever her name to me) blonde with big blue eyes....and I dressed her in the skankiest robes I could find every time she had to do a questioning beliefs quest with a potential LI.

Getting laid was my Hawkes entire motivation for DA2 and now it seems likely that her pants questing nature has brought Thedas to the brink. I think there's a lesson for us all in that somewhere!

Carver is one of the big reasons I always play mage in DAII. The other reason is because it just makes me Hawke's life more of a pain in the butt-- and because someone needs to be the spirit healer, because Anders is such a rubbish healer anymore.

It's near enough the same, I think, but Carver doesn't add those nasty little digs at Hawke in some of his banter. So it comes across as more friendly/brothers joking around.

LOL, I made loads of Hawkes like that! It's fun! I also made one that looked absolutely ridiculous in order to make it easier for me to be absolutely horrible to everyone and do all the horrible things.

I love at the end where he tells you he rubbed onions on your collar when you joke about tearing up, bless him. I've purposely made him a Warden because I was worried that he'd end up doing something stupid between DA2 and DAI as a Templar, plus I'm hoping he'll shack up with Merrill. Also, I like watching Cullen stand up to Meredith on his own.

I love that moment! <3

Carver is a Warden in my playthrough too, which means my Hawke will be losing both his boy and his brother to the calling. His life is just oodles of fun.

He's got a good 30 years left in him though, lol. If he's a Templar he'd end up a stark raving loony on all that lyrium!

True!

And David's said Justice might keep the taint at bay in Anders for longer, so there's that too.

Exactly! Man, I dread to think what's gonna happen to our poor Inquisitor!

I think I'm going to play a human because I'm lame and boring.

Mage too, from the looks of what little gameplay we saw. Walls of fire? yes

I'm definitely gonna role a mage first, I know that much. I wanna see what all this mid-game reactivity is gonna be about.

I think I want to go with human mage to see how much mage focus there is without it being possibly canceled out to focus on race instead. At least for the first playthrough. There will be many more after that, though.

Wanting to actually play a mage is weird for me too.

I usually choose anything else over a mage, such as archery in Skyrim. I almost never play a biotic in ME either.
Even in WoW I mainly play a hunter, but do have a couple druids. If shapeshifting is involved, I will yield.

Same, mage is usually my last choice.

Rogue is normally my got to everytime, but DAII made playing a mage so damn fun! And I really want to see how people react to a mage in DA:I.

I can't remember if I was a rogue or warrior first in DA:O, but I know my first playthrough was as a City Elf. In DA2 I was a female Warrior first.
