I think I'll play as a human mage first but normally rogue is my first choice.

I really hope they just release the full character creator as a demo with face codes, that way we can spend hours/weeks messing around with all the different facial settings with each race until we decide which one we like the look of best and then tweak our protagonist so that he/she will be ready for when the game ships. Plus, if it has a face code then it'll save us spending hours trying to recreate it when our game arrives.

You know what would damn near kill me? If our female Inquisitor has the voice of the smuggler protagonist in SWTOR. That vo is in so many things and but I can never remember what. It would literally drive me loopy. Also, I'm not keen on her general tone lol.

Im sure no one is on here at the moment, but I wanted to add my two cents and say definitely playing Human Mage or Elven Mage. I normally always start with Warrior but Id like to see what a mage can accomplish in a world full of chaos. Give them an example that some mages are good, maybe? Be kinda cool.

LOL, that GI article is driving me insane..!

My first thought; So they thought Cullen interesting enough to hint at earlier, yet not a sound about him now? OMG, companion status confirmed!

My second thought; But would they be allowed to even hint about him if he were a companion..?

My third thought; Blond elf girl and Beardy grey warden boy have pretty much been confirmed as companions via videos and such, so maybe they aren't trying to keep them under wraps at all?

My fourth thought; But if they've revealed 5 companions so far, the rest of them are surely a well guarded secret..?


...and so it goes.  I do think no news is good news, if Leli were to be a companion I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have mentioned her in that piece. I would be insanely surprised if they reveal all the companions with more than a year to go, and they've already knocked five off the list.

Anyway, lots of work to be done but those were my thoughts on last nights reveal. Catch you guys later!

They kinda did the same thing with Kaidan in the months leading up to Mass Effect 3's release. Aside from a cryptic tweet from Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan's voice actor) there wasn't a lot of definite information on whether he would be romanceable by both male and female Shepards. Even the strategy guide got it wrong - under Kaidan's info page it said that he could be romanced only by female Shepards.

Like it or not, I think that finding out if Cullen can be romanced is one of the biggest teases for DAI and the PR folks at BioWare will milk that for all it's worth. Personally I'm not expecting an answer to that one for a while.

Yeah, you guys are probably all right that Cullen's involvement will be kept secret for a while, no matter how big his role is. I suppose we can already divine that by their use of the term "fan favorite" in his description in the original cover story, suggesting they just threw that in there to tantalize his fans.

All the same, it is curious that Leliana is mentioned so heavily. Since I don't expect her to be a companion, I suppose I could take it as a good sign that Cullen wasn't mentioned. LOL

Anyhoo, at least it's more info! Even if it's just a trickle of new stuff this time.

I totally do, too. IIRC, one of the devs made a funny comment about this pairing on twitter once upon a time. Not confirming or denying, of course, but merely commenting cryptically, if memory serves. All I remember is it made me think that the writers had secretly shipped them, too. LOL

It was David. He said he'd have to show the Writers' Pit a Leliana/Cassandra artwork Aimo made, because... I think he said they'd get a laugh out of it? He loved the artwork itself, but I think his comment suggested the pairing is... rather ironic in context. Maybe Leliana and Cassandra don't get along or something? Or maybe Leliana is part of the family? Somehow. Magically. We don't know her last name, after all.

Edit: or do we? I never played Leliana's Song.

I love rogues... mostly for the weapons (bows!) and their cute rogue outfits Also rogues tend to be slender, which is easier to identify with than a bulky warrior.

Celebrate page 2500 of the Cullen thread by flexing your creativity and coming up with stories, blurbs, art, photomanips, dialogues/banter, recipes, playlists, whatever tickles your fancy. Just something somewhat related to the theme of what the heck Cullen's been up to for the past 3 years. He could be relating the story to someone, true or not. It could be a news article describing some event he's  involved in. It could be a faux facebook entry. A postcard. A mugshot. An interview. Whatever. Funny. Serious. Silly. Knock yourselves out.

When we get to the page [[probably in ~10-12 days]], paste up whatever you want. If you're not around let us know, and we can hold you a spot. If you write something, usually if it's less than 500 words or so, you can just post it right on the page. Bigger, you may want to post it elsewhere and link (ff.net, tumblr, AO3, BSN blog).
