Yeah I looked it over again, and Im pretty sure he's wearing a hood, and that's definitely a bird. Lol I hope we get a pet bird! That'd be awesome!

I just still can't get excited for some reason =\\

The scenery and the monsters and such just remind me of Dragon's Dogma. Makes me want to play that. Only thing DD lacks is characters and story/writing. So that's what DAI needs to bring to the table.

Omg...I just looked at a bunch of pics of the inquisitor and that bird pops up quite a bit. My guess? Its either a pet bird or Morrigan. Like Morrigan is keeping an eye on our progress?...You don't think Morrigan is behind the veil rip/chaos, do you? Or maybe it's Flemeth and Morrigan is fighting her? That'd be crazy...

No that was the lightning strike, owl fortress. (PAX Aus panel, I think.)

Agreed. I hope all the pretties won't take away from the story or character/romance arcs. I just hope they aren't being over ambitious, or have bitten off more than they can chew.

Mike Laidlaw did say in the video that their focus for the DA franchise is on player choice.

So... if he means that, it'll be more impressive than all the pretties.

Yeah, but when I hear "player choice" over and over again it just sounds like they're responding to the raging DA2/ME3 hating fanboys who cried about not having any "choices." 

I honestly could care less about player choice; I want a story that will take my breath away, and characters with whom I will fall in love. I'm still 95% sure I will get this; it's just that none of the reveals so far have moved in that direction, so I'm as yet ho hum

To me the most exciting thing have been the pictures that have been released of potential companions; I like trying to figure out who these people are and so on. Just sadly the few companions who've been released haven't interested me. I'm sure it will get better. And who knows, maybe Vivienne will eventually become a favorite.

But as for right now, the new shiny has worn off the "playable races' info, so I'm grouchy again

Yeah, moto, I know exactly what you mean. So far, the companion reveals have not really sparked my imagination. I mean, I love Varric, but I already know what he's like, so no surprise there.

There are lots of games out there that have great stories, and a lot of them also have player choice and reactivity, and cool graphics, etc. I buy BioWare games because I like the characters, and I'm still waiting for one of them to catch my imagination.
