A bit of a nonsequitur, but something I found interesting. Someone asked Aaryn Flynn on twitter about that statement, saying it sounded like the PC would have to be super harsh. Aaryn clarified that a better example would be a hostage situation: Do you save every hostage or would you be willing to live with the death of a few?PhantomGinger wrote...

It's hard to come up with good Thedosian swear words that aren't based on Andrasteism, so I decided to go with something ridiculous instead.LolaLei wrote...
LOL, if my character ever said "jeepers" I'd be sending her/him off the nearest cliff, LOL!
@neo: Huh. Must have missed that discussion. It makes sense... but it doesn't make it easier. Even if the Inquisition emblem came first and the others were derived from it, we as players saw the other emblems first. The association was already made. Plus, you'd think they'd want to get away from that whole "Reign of Terror" association most civilians are going to make. In the bad old days, the Inquisition was pretty horrible, Brother Genitivi's "World of Thedas" PR speech notwithstanding. I don't imagine the inquisitors of old got a warm welcome when they rolled into a village and arrested everyone who might possibly be a threat to society. All it takes is one or two rotten apples to decide that selling short weight on ale constitutes a "threat to society" and public opinion turns irrevocably against them. But then, what's a hero without opposition?
That would be really interesting - could be one of the choices we make. In the video they said, of course it may just be an example: "do you burn down the village or not?" We could see that village as a threat, and instead of questioning everyone we just burn it to the ground.
Can I have the link for that, I can't find it and I'm gathering info, lol.
