The only similarities is both are in a medieval-esc setting, there are Elves and Dwarves, and both Geralt and the Inquisitor get to ride around on a mounts (which is to be expected with games that are more open world). Beyond that the stories are both completely different, as is everything else.

From what little I know about Witcher... it sounds like Geralt does a little more... riding than our PCs have in DA... ahem... :innocent:

Yes, and not just "boobs" (I see those in the mirror every morning); it's basically porn for straight guys. I mean that scene where she undresses makes me want to barf. Can you even imagine a man writhing around like that as the camera sensually follows his gradually unfolding naked body. It's hilarious to even think about lol 

What's funny is most of these Witcher addicts sh!t on anime a lot; well, the perviest games out there are made by the Japanese; maybe those guys should check out some of those raunchy sex simulators *snort* I mean, after all, aren't they so MATURE with their sexy anime babes with triple F-cup breasts and cute little "moe" faces. *double snort*

OMG, I LOVED that post LOL I hate it when people complain about Anders. He was such a great character. It made total sense. Hard for small pea-sized brains to comprehend I guess.

His comment about the guys reminded me of all the innocent oxen I accidentally shoot in Dragon's Dogma. Poor cows.

There are honestly no words for how much I adore David Gaider. It wouldn't be interesting at all if characters didn't develop, and if people actually loved Anders in Awakening as much as they claim (rather than just being amused by his funny), then they would've paid attention to his banter and realised that there was quite a bit of foreshadowing. Especially if you ran around with Justice, Nathaniel, and Anders in your party.

The nudity doesn't bother me, either, although the portrayal of women does. Mostly, what drives me insane is trying to roleplay somebody else's PC. I don't want to play Geralt. I want to play my own character, and that's something the Witcher is never going to let me do. While I enjoy playing heterosexual males as one option of many, a steady diet of it gets really, really old surprisingly quickly. It isn't about getting to know your companions and learning to love them, it's about watching Geralt frolic in his world, with his dudebros and his harem. I suppose it's roleplaying in the sense that the player is assuming a role. It just isn't one I enjoy.

And that, pretty much, is why I play BioWare games. I can play any combination of gender/orientation I like, and the personality and values are pretty much mine to shape.

Actually from a metagame perspective that could work. You could start up a romance with Varric get dumped and then console yourself in Cullen's arms. Is it greedy? Yes. Would I do it? Totally!

Alright guys so I need your help. I decided that I want to read the Dragon Age comics but I don't know jack sh!t about them. So, what comic should I begin with? Is there like a book where they added all the comics in one?

Well I've read them all and I absolutely recommend them because they're interesting and most importantly they have Alistair in them being very.....manly!

Start at the beginning and work your way through, they're not going to make an awful lot of sense if you pick one up at random. They're not dear and you can get them on Dark Horse for your PC/devices. The first is the Silent Grove (and I think it's the best of the series by a fairly considerable margin.).

Mary Kirby suggested that Bianca is not dead. In the comic it only says that they never managed to escape from the Merchants guild, not that she died. Mary then went on to suggest that we may hear her side of the story in-game.
