Did anyone else see on David Gaider's tumblr that he said that "many" of the people in the War Room picture are *NOT* companions?

...really hoping that doesn't mean Cullen isn't a companion. I'm hoping he'd be one of the few that is. Well, if Maybe!Cullen in that picture is actually Cullen.

I don't think he meant that most of them weren't companions, just stating that throughout the development process, things change and that not everything portrayed in concept art is set in stone. Especially when you consider that they draw up a lot of those pieces before they've even started mocking up the gameplay. So to say "Oh! maybe!Cullen and maybe!Leliana are there! That is 100% proof that they are in the game!" would be jumping to conclusions. 

As always, you just need to take everything you see w/ a grain of salt, and keep your hopes balanced. Personally, I'm not really sure how they are going to include Leliana in our party when she has been a previous LI. That's a tricky bridge to cross w/ a lot of fans, if she disregards her previous relationship w/ the Warden to hook up w/ the Inquisitor, or even if she was still involved w/ the Warden that she left him/her high and dry to travel w/ this new PC. We'll see how things go, yea?

Huh, I just realized that I will be back in the US by the time DA:I comes out. That means I get to play it on release day and not 2 weeks later, like with my ME3 CE i ordered. Sweet!

Huh. Actually, carine is right. DG later edited his post to say:

Now, it still doesn't rule out any of these being non-party companions, as we've been speculating about Scribe Girl being a Traynor-like assistant. Plus, as has been mentioned, Leliana is probably not a party member either; maybe "Important NPC"?

But!  littlenikki's point about how things also may have changed since this was created also stands. Although, it's a little telling that DG also had this pic as his own computer background.

and... bless him for making the point for fourteen billionth time that Scribe Girl isn't Vivienne!

I don't really have a preference between Chill  and Flail. Thanks to the high-res image, they both look pretty darned nifty.

Ah, I haven't had a chance to go through last night's posts yet, so I missed that comment. Imma thinking I might give him a try, too. I'm not usually into elves - they always seem to be written as high-strung/high-maintenance characters and I just don't have the patience for that - but if Chill *is* chill, and if he has a sense of humor, why not?

My Anya Hawke is aggressive but doesn't come off as mental. She is just a bad *ss MOFO basically! If the situation calls for it, she will answer in the diplomatic, and with her LI she's kind. But otherwise, watch out!

I STILL don't get the flaily hands guy obsession! He's pretty gross to me  But chill elf guy looks interesting. Still not my ideal romance type. Fruitlessly holding on to the possibility of Cullen.

Same here... none of those guys look appealing to me right now, still hoping for Cullen ... all tho  DG's post on tumblr kinda makes me think he is an agent...........
