I just can't play the angry mental Hawke. She seems to mad (in her head). So I'll start fresh and spice her up with some sarcastic vibes.

My Anya Hawke is aggressive but doesn't come off as mental. She is just a bad *ss MOFO basically! If the situation calls for it, she will answer in the diplomatic, and with her LI she's kind. But otherwise, watch out!

I STILL don't get the flaily hands guy obsession! He's pretty gross to me  But chill elf guy looks interesting. Still not my ideal romance type. Fruitlessly holding on to the possibility of Cullen.

Well that's how I should have done it. But she was very rude to everyone, except Bethany, but oh well. I've started from scratch, with a female mage and she's nice and funny. Though she'll get pretty mad I've someone's playing with her (like some rude Chantry nun)

I'm playing a mage right now that is mostly sarcastic (I can't resist!) though very kind towards other mages and people in general distress. But when it comes to someone effing w/ her family, it's aggressive!Hawke all around.

Of all the personality types, it took the longest to find an aggressive Hawke I could enjoy playing. I finally found a blunt warrior Merrill-mancer and loved playing him. He was rough and completely lacked any kind of social graces, but I really enjoyed watching him fall in love with shy, awkward Merrill. He didn't always deliver the red lines, though. Sometimes, it was diplo. Once in a rare while, he even cracked a joke... just not always when it was socially appropriate for him to do so.

I know they aren't doing personality types again, but I can't help wondering what kind of character I'd romance Cullen with. A sweet, good-natured character... maybe. But maybe a snarky joker to lighten his mood or irritate the living hells out of him. Dunno.

Through a breach in the sky, the brave now walk where once we feared to dream.

From that quote and my small iPhone screen I first thought it was the Black city. But then I saw it was the Deep Roads. Nice picture. :)

It's actually not the Deep Roads, I don't think. If you look at the orange things, they are similar to the illustrations of people walking through the Fade.

Hope that means that the Fade will be more colorful this time around. I found the desaturated, blur effect to be less visually interesting than I wanted. Or maybe it just reminded me too much of Shadow Mulsantir, one of my least favorite parts of MotB.

I thought they were spirits or demons not people? Also, what picture? :)
Edit there's a lot of spiderweb. Not really a fade thing?

I didn't mind that it was desaturated myself, but the blur effect made it hard to concentrate at times. I hope this time around if we are trapped in the Fade again, there is no clear way to tell (unless you are a mage.)

I wish I could find the picture to show you. Someone here might have it. I'll keep searching. :) I know it's in the World of Thedas, but alas I am at work and don't have the book with me to take a picture and post.

EDIT

Here is one example:

This is from World of Thedas in the section talking about the Fade. The orange phantoms, I believe, are dreamers.

I think it's the Fade myself. But I'm frequently wrong.
(But not this time! Yay)

Maybe because the news today will be so gigantic, the whole Dragon Age page needs re-working... with a huge pic of "Companion Cullen". LOL
