Looks like floating weapons are back lol

Not a deal breaker for me but you know, it's just a thing

An option to wear swords/daggers at the hip would be pretty rad

A big pet peeve for me. Something I adore in Witcher games is they use scabbards. Floating weapons kills immersion so much. Maybe we'll get lucky and it's something Bioware adds down the line. Maybe like how they decided races will come back?

But yea, not a deal breaker by any means. I quite like the jokes about them too hehe. Just one of those random "small details" I'd like to see Bioware work on at some point in the future.  Enough small details eventually add up to  a big one overall. I'd have to say Bioware has been answering a lot of my pet peeves with their games though.

Since they're answering most of my questions, this is some I'd like to see changed at some point(be it DA:I or another DA game)

I'm in the minority where the floating weapons didn't bug me at all... in fact I can say I didn't really notice them until I saw complaints here on BSN. I guess my focus was elsewhere. lol

I'd love to have a weapon that shoots out of my rogue's sleeve though.

Hmm... never been bothered by floating weapons so it's fine by me. Actually I like viewing them and choose things that I find pretty for each character and companion. Like Izzy getting matching knives that goes well with her outfit.

Can't wait to see the recorded panels :wizard:  so happy that I have little planned this weekend, hoping they will turn up on the web soon. Will be fun to read what those who had the opportunity to go there has to say as well. Don't expect to hear much about companions since it's an entire year left, ughh.... Imagine if they showed one screen cap of a cute guy and said "Well, he's romanceable and his name is [redacted]. Aaand we will tell you more in August. Cheers ". It would be mayhem, lol. I would never be able to wait that long. So no matter how much I really really want to know more about our future companions now is probably not the time.

LOL I'm there with you. Never noticed til I heard about it on BSN.  Repeated caves, on the other hand, I eventually noticed on my own.  But they didn't bother me, outside of the fact that it took me so long to notice.

You're probably right on the companions. I bet they draw out the suspense as long as possible. I'm anxious to see what they do show us this week though.

I think the mysterious floating weapons would bother me more in DA:I than previously. I mean, DAO/DA2 weren't exactly pretty games so you kinda lower your expectations. When you look at DA:I, you know it's going to look amazing on Frostbite 3. Bioware seems to be sinking a lot of resources into making their world feel more alive much like Witcher does with their environments. It would just be a downer to see such a gorgeous game have ugly animations/floating weapons. But again, it's not a deal breaker by any means. Just something I'd like to see polished up in future games. I noticed in the alpha videos for Inquisition the animations looked like something between DAO/DA2. The speed of the swings was slower than DA2 but faster than DAO. I also noticed that in a dodge roll sequence it had a delay in getting up on the animation. I was wondering if that means they brought heavy armor penalties back in the game since he was wearing heavy armor.

sorry, but this reminds me of a funny I saw on tumblr today... Which pointed out that not everyone had armor penalties in DA:O. Boy howdy was our boy Cullen fast in that armor! Never could catch him... ;)
