It is a lot  I am pretty excited about the playable qunari. This also suggests we'll have multiple VAs for the different races. This will really allow me to create genuinely different characters.

The red lyrium is very interesting to me. Meredith could make statues come to life. She pretty much became a frakking mage herself. With all these templars taking it, the lines between human and inhuman are becoming blurred, and the ones they are fighting may be more human than they are! Their whole arguement of "mages being dangerous because of power" is completely invalid!

Wow, thank you for putting that into perspective!! I LOVE the "What does it mean to be human?" and "What is a human/person?" theme in sci-fi (i.e. synthetics versus biological people in ME), and that's freaking fantastic that it's showing up in a fantasy!

I really hope they take this route w/ it. I mean, imagine Cullen in that kind of scenario. He's got to be so confused as to who is in the right now w/ templars running around high on red lyrium, and mages rebelling against the chantry.

The World of Thedas also made a point of saying that anyone can take red lyrium. It's not just a mage and templar problem with the crazy. That could bring up some very real threats.

Soo.... maybe templars go into the Deep Roads to mine it??

Red Templars seem to be another faction in the game. Like the Venatori, the way he talks about them. Those boats had templar shields on them. So... do red templars have anything to do with red lyrium... or is that just a name for the Lambert-initiated Chantry-free Templar Order that runs around and 'kills mages in the streets'??

Right, so here's the little story of how it happened first. Basically a week ago Cameron asked if I wanted a ticket to a Dragon Age event that was happening in London, so I was like "hell ****ing yes!" I didn't have a clue what was actually going to be shown at this thing until I got the email from PR saying it was an early extended look at a demo of the game, (then I ****** my pants).

So on the day I go up to London and booked a hotel for the night so that I could hang out with Cam and JP (Jonathan Perry) afterwards with the other fans. I get to the waiting area and the place is literally full of press and I don't know anyone, so I'm sitting there totally ****ting my pants all by myself like a prized ****** whilst everyone else mingled, and I'm a little sad because I look like a dick by myself. Anyway, we all go down to watch the demo and I sit right up front, Cam and JP do the demo about the stuff you saw them tweeting, and then after the demo Cameron pulls me aside and we go outside for a cigarette, we have a little chat, then he and JP go do a bunch of interviews. I finally find two other fans that showed up (there was only 3 fans there, myself included) and we, and some other guy from the press go get some lunch and have a few drinks, then we returned later and met up with Cam 'n' JP again to go for more drinks. Then the other fans had to leave, and I stuck around and we all went to dinner, they got me drunk, we had a laugh. Then the next day I went out for coffee with Cam before he left for PAX and I went home.
