First of all I love all this concept art. As someone who does a lot of speculating this stuff always gets me excited. So I've been wondering something about the Inquisitor. Is it just me or is the Inquisitor portrayed as a rogue a lot?
matt rhodes:
Thanks! You’re right, there’s an abundance of rogues and that’s not an accident. There are two reasons. The first is that the iconic Warden was a warrior and the Iconic Hawke was a mage, so we wanted to try pushing rogues this time. In fact we built the rogue version first. The second is simple, shameless favoritism. I always role rogue. Always. It’s my class. Unless there is a specific reason to do otherwise, I’ll make the Inquisitor a rogue every time.
This has got me super excited! I was hoping they were going to do thisI'm hoping they feature an archer, but it'll probably be dual daggers.

Or am I not suppose to post these?
Well it looks like it contains the second hand recorded footage from the audience, and according to DG they were asking for people not to do that.

Dang Danny, asked a lot of good questions today, and got some really good answers!

So apparently the demo game footage should not have been recorded.

Yep, when I watched the demo on Thursday they asked everyone not to record. Still, it's harder to control 1000's of people LOL!

I would say the only thing makes me scratch my chin is that the list of potential companions appears warrior heavy and male heavy.
I'm at this point pretty certain Dorian is Chill McSmugson, OR he's Dorian's replacement...
I DO think Iron Bull is a companion because he is the only qunari character mentioned, and I think, what with us being able to play as qunari, that he will be a companion.
I think our warriors will be Cass, Gray Warden, and Iron Bull... though of course I would hope Cullen would be in that list, too
Mages are Dorian and Vivienne; that's only two, but we usually only have two mages.
Rogues are Varric, Sera, and...? I want to say Scribe Girl (or perhaps a mage) because that balances out the male/female ratio more. Or there could be an unnamed female character that hasn't appeared ANYWHERE yet, a la Vivienne (who saw that one coming??)
I do think Cole has an excellent chance of being a companion, partly because he was on the survey leak and partly because his writer adores him, and that's pretty important.
/pointless speculation xD

And this is a perfect example of what I mean when I say... "This is why we can't have nice things." <_<
Hi everyone. How are you? I tried backtracking - I really did - but there are like 30 pages from the past 2 days alone!

Lol ty. The rogue thing really interested me. I've been wanting to play one since the survey leak so when I saw the two hander in those videos I was a little curious if the iconic Inquisitor was a warrior.littlenikki wrote...

Everything looks awesome so far, visually speaking, the environments are really nice, and the characters are beautiful (I think the could still look a little better in the cut scenes but I know they will get there.)
I noticed a lot of the soldier NPCs are male; hopefully they'll include some random female soldiers/enemies as well. I'm sure they will.
I wish we'd hear more of the PC talking, and I wish they would've shown footage from the other saves, with the elf, dwarf, and qunari inquisitor. I'd just like to see an elf, period! Maybe they're not done rendering elves and qunari.

Maybe from SWTOR? Or one of the previous games? I definitely heard Jowan's VO on one the npcs from that demo.
At least my drinking game will live on in DA3!

So localisation is super duper expensive. Maybe they will use one actor for two races. Like one VA for Dorf+Qun and one VA for Humanfilth+Elf? (+sexes... So four VAs?)
This sounds possible *rubs chin* Although I was hoping for a different voice for the elf... or hopefully that recorded dialogue we heard was just a stand-in. It seems pretty devoid of emotion or personality. Even Hawke's neutral tone had personality.
