So what race,gender,class will everyone's first play through be? For me TBH I gonna go with the usual...human female mage, then probably elven female rogue, and thennn female qunari warrior...

It depends on if Cullen is confirmed as a companion or not, to be honest. If he is, then I'll probably do Female Human Rogue. (I like being able to pick locks!)

I just think it's more likely for there to be two female rogues than there to be two female warriors. Mostly because of what we've seen and heard, and most females we've seen have been of the roguish, lithe build.

Also, grabbed my DAO guide. Four dudes, three girls plus Shale. And Dog. And Loghain.

And this may seem odd...but I would find it neat if they added jealousy within our companions...like how u get a warning from seb about Anders...but maybe show them actually having disagreements while u r not around or something...even if its no LI stuff...could be about the way ur doing stuff. Maybe ur templar companion agrees with your corse of actions but ur mage companion doesn't and they have a dispute....

I do still understand not wanting "the masses" to see the footage though. I had to bite my tongue to keep from listing off my own criticisms. It's in my nature... but it's done out of love and anxiety concerning the game, which has meant so much to me. But I have to remind myself that it's not really the time to complain... especially on their own board.

AND... I don't think I talk about the stuff I like enough. Which one can assume is virtually everything I'm not complaining about lol

I feel ya. I think we're all anxious and for some reason it's easier to complain than to stay pleasant sometimes (I tell my reflection - lol) I can't count how often I type up a really b!tchy comment and delete it. I guess that's my therapy. That and cheap merlot. lol

LOL Maybe we should make a challenge for a while. Everyone should start their post with some positive comment (ala brushyourteeth's positivity thread in the main forums.)

Same. If Cullen is a LI, the usual male elf rogue :happy:

That will stay the same if Cullen is not a LI, but GW or Iron Bull is.

If Chill Elf or Cole are LI, then male human rogue.

Just for first playthrough though. Will definitely get a female dwarf and female qunari in at some point.

I can see them doing three females IF they make sure they create three well-rounded "real" women (which I know they will; they're super conscious about sexism and gaming), AND give us some excellent female major NPCs. So long as the romance options remain 2 female, 2 male.

Not gonna lie, every step away from 50% representation gets me sad. Does that make me shallow? I loved how DA2 had one man to every woman, one of each gender in each class. Feminism aside, my asperger's was happy about the perfect symmetry.

I'm really torn between playing a FemQunari or doing my usual human warrior.

If Cullen's a companion and LI, I'll want to romance him with my human warrior.

Buuuuuuut I really want to make a Qunari because that sounds so interesting!

Female Qunari rogue. I almost always go rogue for any game I ever play, if given the option. That said, being a mage looks utterly amazing....

My answer for the other question is: female human rogue. Every time. It's my comfort zone and change frightens me. lol
I will eventually, of course, roll every single available option/race/class and then go back to my rogue.

Celebrate page 2500 of the Cullen thread by flexing your creativity and coming up with stories, blurbs, art, photomanips, dialogues/banter, recipes, playlists, whatever tickles your fancy. Just something somewhat related to the theme of what the heck Cullen's been up to for the past 3 years. He could be relating the story to someone, true or not. It could be a news article describing some event he's  involved in. It could be a faux facebook entry. A postcard. A mugshot. An interview. Whatever. Funny. Serious. Silly. Knock yourselves out.

When we get to the page [[probably in ~10-12  about 3 days]], paste up whatever you want. If you're not around let us know, and we can hold you a spot. If you write something, usually if it's less than 500 words or so, you can just post it right on the page. Bigger, you may want to post it elsewhere and link (ff.net, tumblr, AO3, BSN blog).

Anyone find that red lyirum/red templar thread hilarious? It's like people are grasping for something to complain about. It's nothing like ME3's Cerberus outside the madness angle that we already saw in DA2. We don't even know the full details about red lyrium. It's still a big mystery.

I like it, and I'm quite interested in how it's going to be built up. Will Cullen be addicted to it? Will Cullen have stayed with the Chantry, and, because he did, he is still able to get a supply of lyrium? Maybe that's why the Red Templars are called that and just 'Templars'. There will be regular templers still around, within the Chantry.

They're trying to say it's exactly like Cerberus in ME3 when we don't even have the full details on it. Cerberus was the main enemy in ME3 and they were basically controlled by Reaper devices. So, Cerberus was a split faction. You had the insane variety attacking you at every corner because they were controlled. Then you had the ex-Cerberus who fought against them. The Templars are a split faction like that. But they're making all kinds of assertions.

Really the only thing that we know for sure that's comparable to that is the madness angle and that was already shown in DA2. Templars and Cerberus don't even share similar ideology. If you want to pick apart things like that why stop there? You could do it in any game and compare plot points/factions that are exactly like another game. We don't even know how prominent the Red Templars will be throughout the game. They might just be in a small part that we saw in the demo. We don't know the full motivations or even how red lyrium works. It's just a silly complaint thread with a lot of assertions.

IMO, it's just digging really deeply and nitpicking.

It's definitely red lyrium. Chances are someone got hold of it for them after their regular lyrium supply got cut off from the Chantry when they rebelled. I don't think Cullen will be amongst them though, he knew better by the end of DA2.

I certainly hope Cullen won't be apart of them. You'd think he'd be a bit hesitant about the stuff that turned his superior to stone. 

I'm sure (if he's in the game) he's with the vanilla Templars, and not the strawberry-flavored ones. Again, assuming there still are vanilla Templars.

I still think that he might have his title strip n be part of a different faction of template. Ones who views are different...i have a feeling that we may meet Viv n Cullen around the same time. But his 'leaked' outfit does look like he may be a loyalist of some sort...like rogue template fighting for the good so to speak...
