Awesome! So... she has a relationship with the Imperial Court. Very interesting.

Explains the whole first in line for First Enchanter bit....oooh small cameo in Masked Empire semi-confirmed rumor.

...and perhaps the fact that Cassandra actually calls her "First Enchanter" ...

Which really muddies the water on the whole Val Royeaux/Montismard (sp?) thing again. I mean if she has contact enough to get a nickname maybe she was incredibly involved in the court

LOL I was literally going to just say the exact same thing (great minds?? ).  Either they really know her well and invite her from a distant Circle a lot (i.e. she's in Montsimmard) or she is at the White Spire (which seems to conflict with Adrian taking over from Edmonde). How close is Montsimmard from Halamshiral again?  Hmmm.

edit: Not so far. But not so close. Hmm.

Or another scenario I've been playing with. I keep trying to imagine what happens to the Circles (I mean, the physical buildings) after the mages declare their independence. I've been thinking that, if I were the templars bent on dealing with the mage thread as I see fit, I would keep them and use them as prisons/strongholds. But, what if there are mages who don't believe in the whole independence thing and so hung on at the Circle, continuing their way of life? What if someone like Vivienne took over leadership at the White Spire after Adrian et al. fled into the wilderness? So, regardless of what the mages did at Andoral's Reach, as far as Vivienne's concerned, she's First Enchanter of the Spire...?

Anyhoo, just a theory I've been playing with.

LOL Yeah, agree, I have a feeling she still must have some plan, whether it involves Flemeth or not. Aaand, if she's part of the Court, I reckon she can probably afford some pretty good childcare.

Yes, it said in the GI subscriber article on Vivienne that she's pro-Circle. That's sort of the point.

Well it seems close enough to Val Royeaux that it'd be plausible, but why then would she NEED the outfit? (Baring that she loves it of course.) Hmmmm curiouser and curiouser

That would require some claim to the Orlesian throne I would think. You know I love the OGB but sometimes I get a Mordred esque feeling from him.

That would require some claim to the Orlesian throne I would think. You know I love the OGB but sometimes I get a Mordred esque feeling from him.

And keep in mind her child doesn't exist in some universes, and in others, his father is a city elf or a commoner dwarf or Loghain Mac Tir.

Well there's only a 1 in 3 chance that Alistair is the father of the OGB, if the ritual is performed at all that is. I'm so curious as to how they're going to address such a big issue like that, when it's only just an optional issue. It's already been said that the decision isn't canon. 

I'm so excited to get to know Viv. There's really never been a completely pro-circle companion/character, well except for that one mage in Witch Hunt. His love of the circle was more out of fear than any sort of loyalty, which it seems Vivienne has for it. Wynne was kinda on the fence it seems.

I don't know. I think Wynne was very pro-circle. She may have had her criticisms, but ultimately, she felt the system worked and she championed it. 

Vivienne being so incredibly pro-circle makes me disposed to not like her... but I don't doubt her character will be rich and inspire all kinds of responses from me.
