LOL Right!  I always tend to forget that. Just trying to figure out who the "main" people would be. Maybe Lambert? Shale doesn't really seem 'main protagonist' to me. Guess it would have to be Rhys, Evangeline or Cole?

personally i would think its either Evangeline or Cole
Cole because he was in the survey
OR Evangeline they might put her in to balance the sexes more? So its not a "sausage fest" as some ppl might say it

True. For all that I would LOVE to see Evangeline again, she just seems too similar to Cassandra and Cullen, who already seem to similar to each other to both be party members.

Ah... well.

Evangeline being confirmed would be the WORST possible news for Cullen fans!!

But wait didn't someone mentioned a few pages back that the character from asunder wont be a companion but just a major NPC or something? Or did i read that wrong?

EDIT to add this

So i guess we are not sure whoever it is  from asunder if they would be a companion or not

"You could use the Keeps in a similar fashion to that [the base camps]," Lee said. "It's one of those places where you can restock equipment, but it's not a replacement for the camp system.

"We have something else in mind for that, which is a lot more grandiose than even the Keep system. We'll get into that later on. I think people are going to freak out!"

What's Cameron Lee talking about I wonder? A kingdom itself? That's what I think it is. What else could be more grand than owning a bunch of castles which we will from storming keeps?

Yes, he did indeed!!

Definitely my ideal pair would be Cullen and Cole

But I guess if there were no Cullen, I'd want Iron Bull and Cole

Or maybe Gray Warden and Cole...

GDI BioWare you better give me at least one studly guy.

Maybe a war band? You travel with your main army, but when you settle for the night you have a huge area full of tents or something? It kind of reminds me of that "New Home" concept art with the crowd filing over the hill, the fortress in the background.

I could definitely see that because you see something similar in concept art.

Hmmm, in this case, I would choose Cole over Evangeline. She is too similar to both Cassandra and Cullen, as someone pointed out. She has a similar story to Cullen's as well - so bringing in a character like him, that is not him, would cause confusion as well as frustration. The hate may in fact go away however...simply because Evangeline is a woman, and women are allowed to show emotions unlike men despite the fact they went through a traumatic experience.

I wouldn't mind a cameo, because she IS awesome - but that is all. Cole would be a far more interesting person to have around...if creepy.

On another note: Omg, I'm playing through DA2 again and as a Sarcastic Hawke, I have gotten some dialogue I have never heard before from Cullen. Most of you may already have, but I found it interesting. (This is paraphrased.)

Cullen: The mages can set a city on fire in a fit!
Hawke: I admit that does shorten their bargaining position...but there has to be a better way.
Cullen: ...Perhaps you're right. Perhaps the mages need more education as to why the Chantry acts as they do. Perhaps they would not go against the will of Andraste herself. I will look into it.

Yeah a page back we were talking about this. It was said that the Asunder character would be in game, not necesarily meaning that person would be comapnion or not

All right phew, all caught up.

@Wiedzmin Love that setup! Not sure about "Scribe Girl" though, I don't know but we haven't seen her with a weapon of any kind.

I also believe we wont get more then 2 mage companions, they stuck to it now for 2 games, don't think it will change.

new concept art of Flaily hands? they guy kneeling I mean, the armor sure fits. Lol, maybe we have to beat down our companions first before they'll join us. "Fragile Alliances"

~ About Asunder character. If it's a npc I could see Lambert joining (if he's still alive, it kinda left open ended from what i understand). Seeing those red templars, he could be leading them or being behind them taking the red lyrium to make them more obedient, maybe? We do need some good bad guys as well.

~ Qunari Inquizi, I wouldn't be surprised if they would be locked out from romance or had a race specific one.

Those are my two cents for the morning.

I also think this looks like "Flaily Hands". Maybe we have to prove ourselves somehow before certain companion take an Oath of Fealty.

Like a loyalty mission, but on a grander scheme, maybe?

I personally doubt they'll lock a Qunari Inquisitor out of romance, but... there could be a race specific one for the ladies/homosexual males? This Iron Bull fella seems right for the picking, and, while it's not an issue I have, I could see how some might want a male for their female Qunari who she doesn't dwarf.

Then again, Bioware doesn't design its characters to be romances. They design the character first, and then see what would fit. So if people don't like that their female Qunari is possibly taller than the men she has to pick from tough. They didn't worry about such things when it came to the male dwarfs in origins after all.

I'm not saying that I'm certain, just that I wouldn't be surprised. Seeing as when it came to Qunari "relations" it was always explained away with deadly/painful sex. It wouldn't bother me honestly either way is fine with me. In my mind my Qunari warrior will be a b!tch that will cut down anything in her path, enemies and companions alike, to get to her goal. Let's see what companion has big enough balls/ovaries to court her, lol.

Can't wait to play her, rawr!

I am so looking forward to playing a Qunari! I don't have a personality planned for her just yet, but I am sure the playthrough will be glorious:lol:

I've yet to date a man who is taller than me IRL. Let's not be shallow now

It's not something that bothers me personally. I was just theorising based on what others might feel. :)
