I can't decide if I think it's legit or not. On the one hand it could easily be fake and the whole "red fist, purple crows, gold keys" thing sounds a bit silly... but then this "leak" was posted in the Witcher forums back in February and it mentions the red templars, which if definitely legit.

The possibility of templars using red lyrium to "power up" wasn't an unforeseeable plot development given DA2's ending. You could even theorize that was the whole point of Meredith using the lyrium idol: to set up a plot arc for the expansion (though now it's the new game). Hell, I considered something similar for a fanfic I have bouncing around my head.

If the guy had said "the Templar Hot Air Balloon Brigade will oppose the Inquisition" and then Mike Laidlaw had said during the demo "And here you'll see the attack blimps converging on the keep," I'd be like 'Whoa! This guy's on to something.'

But Red Templars? Hell, that's like predicting at some point in the new Man of Steel movie, a villain will try using Kryptonite against Superman.

Whoah. Dagna? Like little Dagna from Origins that wanted to study at the Circle?

The other marks don't look anything like purple crows, though. More like Owls.

Admittedly it isn't the most original name ever ever invented!

So ... with Cassandra being a sword and shield warrior, what role could Cullen have in this game? I'm not saying that Cullen CAN'T be a second sword and shield warrior, it's just less likely.

I know he used a two-handed sword in The Darkspawn Chronicles, but if that big qunari is a companion, that slot might be filled as well. He doesn't look like the "two dagger rogue" type.

This is a bit of a longshot, but I'm wondering if the followers will have unique specializations rather than weapon styles.

Cassandra: Champion Talents (DAO revival!)
Iron Bull: Berserker
Cullen: Templar Talents
Grey Warden Dude:?Darkspawn related (Keep in mind that we don't know that this guy is a warrior!)

Got it, although I can't get a decent screenshot of it because the camera is so wobbly.

What is an "artificer," that's what I want to know! I wonder if it's related to her interest in magic but her inability to use it.

It is, but I need it bigger, since you post it up in here it shrinks down too much.

It says

"Alchemical Opportunities

Careful application of wind spells cleared the air long enough for our masons to construct the initial caps according to artificer Dagna's specifications. The area is safe for travel, and our collections have coins flowing into the Inquisitor's coffers.

10 Agents Stationed"

I don't think this should be a determining factor. Didn't Mike Laidlaw just say  on twitter that we can decide on our own if Cassandra is S&S or two-handing? He said that the companions aren't locked in like that, so presumably we could do whatever combination we want.

The most interesting thing to me about the podcast's mention of Cullen was the potentially slip by the question asker, who was the interviewer for all the behind the scenes stuff. He first called Cullen "Knight-Commander" and then corrected himself...

Probably nothing but...

Yep.

I noticed that, too. The interviewer said something like "One of the most prominent questions that we've received is 'Will companion X return? Will the Mabari Dog, or Knight-Commander Cullen...Er...Knight-Captain, Cullen, be back?'" And then ML laughed.

Edit: paraphrased

Yes, it starts at about 43min in. Interviewer says:

"By far the most common style of question was 'is <blank> coming back?' 'Is <blank> a party member?' .. People out there wanting to know about the mabari hound... about Knight-Commander Cullen, Captain Cullen... So, I know that you don't want to get too much into that but ..."

As long as Cullen isn't the Knight Commander of the Red Templars. That would be horrible to see him all crazy like Meredith, and he's trying to break into the Black City to find out the real truth about mages and Chantry law or something.
