Mhmm that's what I was thinking. The first one that is ... where the file was saved last.

Where s/he comes from would only be significant if each race could come from multiple locations....

Each place name is the name of the save file, ala previous DA games where the location is the default save name. Plus they seemed to match the thumbnail picture of the save file, so I'm pretty sure it's just the location where it was saved.

Man, am I glad Game Informer's DAI month is over! Now I just have to do the PAX one and hopefully that'll be it it for information until the new year.

... That's not to say I didn't enjoy finally getting an influx of info, but it was bloody difficult making those videos in time to come out every weekend, what with the housemate and his girlfriend getting in the way frequently and stuff.

We appreciate it!  I was just re-watching your Cat Lady Let's Play actually, waiting for DA:O to reinstall because I flubbed it up w/ too many mods again. 

Lol, I'll get back into The Cat Lady LP once all this DAI stuff is done. I really need to start making a variety of different videos, so far it's turned into literally just DA and The Cat Lady.

Nothing wrong with that, the DA  videos you made I find them very interesting and exciting and the Cat Lady videos are very funny due to your comments, so I say keep them coming:D

Well several of these locations are places we already saw in the gameplay demo as places our Inquisitor will go. I'd say it's a safe bet to say they're the location of the save.

I think they are probably right, I wasn't expecting much from the agents to be honest. It'd be nice to have a few agents representing a group they belong to. Like if the Iron Bull isn't a companion, but an ally, he'd represent his mercenary band. It'd be weird if agents were just one time use digits though.

I literally can't bring myself to play through DA:O again, and Maker knows I'm trying. I've played it sooooo many times now that its become a chore. DA2 is also getting that way too. I'm probably just gonna rip my saves out of my Xbox 360 and transfer them over, then change their physical appearance with mods lol... not that it matters now that the Dragon Age Keep system exists, so it's not like I need to really worry about importing them.

Well I dunno about "Lavellan" (or something); it just doesn't roll off the tongue very well. I've been trying to think up first names that would sound good. Maybe Rohan Lavellan or Tamlen Lavellan (I'm way into homages lol). (My Skyrim elf is named Tamlen lol)

See, I thought the agents would be important people (like Leliana etc), but after watching that demo the agents are like assets that help us to get more resources and power, and aid us in battles etc.

This does seem to be the emergent picture. Several pieces of evidence point to the agents just being faceless people dispatched to do stuff,  not named NPCs like Morrigan or Leliana. The analogy I used previously was like the troops you could dispatch during the Battle of Denerim at the end of DA:O. So, yeah, seems like the case.

The card collecting is interesting... those pics are tantalizing. But I'd hesitate to suggest that DA would use such a Witcher-like mechanism for 'collecting' things, though. Ahem.

Yea, I would think that they may be somewhere along the lines of Assasins Creed or like at the end of DAO where u had the help of mages, elfs and dwarfs and you got to pick one of them to help you out,  or something like that.
I dont really expect to have that much interaction with them though except for telling me if a mission or a weapon or something is complete

LOL I want to be all mod hung ho... but I'm now officially annoyed at how they frakked up my game... Guess I'm back to vanilla.

The one nice thing about reinstalling is that I got around to downloading a bunch of the free DLC stuff I hadn't installed before...

edit: Soo.... only eight pages away from 2500...

Same stress as "Magellan." 

It's growing on me, no worries  I just can't see people calling him/her "Lavellan" as in "Hawke." I really really hope we don't get called "Inquisitor."

I'm trying out this new texture mod that really improves the look of the environments. Not super noticable, but it's a nice tweak to the game.

^ It's easy for me to envision the character I'll "create" cause he's usually based on a character I've written before. So that's often where the names come from.
