Hey I just saw a post in the 9 companion thread that someone mentioned that DG said  we may not like the direction that Cullen is going is this true does someone have a link?

I think that might be a misquote there. If DG had said something like that then I would've heard about it. What I think the OP is talking about is where DG was saying that he thought we'd be the first people to kick off IF they did something to Cullen that we didn't like, or strayed away from our head canon.

I'm not too worried. I've come to terms with the fact that he probably won't be a companion now. My main concern is that they might have uglied him up or made him look so different that he's unrecognisable, lol.

Yea that could be the case as well but if he's not a companion the least they could do is keep him the way he is all tho that would be even more torture...
But as for me coming to terms with the fact that he may not be a companion I might need a bit of time to get over it

Yea that could be the case as well but if he's not a companion the least they could do is keep him the way he is all tho that would be even more torture...
But as for me coming to terms with the fact that he may not be a companion I might need a bit of time to get over it

I think the only thing that would possibly displease the fans enough to actually have them react badly would be if they'd made him a derranged "evil" red templar without any good reason explained in-game. But I seriously doubt they'd do that to him, so I'm not worried.

Easy, girls! If you love Cullen I doesn't meant that another candidates for MLI are dirt on your shoes. It doesn't right when some Cullen fans write again that "Chevalier is bastard" and "Iron Bull is animal".

“Varric.” The former Templar replied.

The dwarf sat in one of the cushioned armchairs. He leaned back as far as the furniture allowed him too, crossed his legs and folded his hands on his chest.

“Have you ever been to Orzammar?”

Cullen seemed surprised by the question, he cleared his throat. “Orzammar?” He furrowed his brown, cocking his head to the side. “Why?... What if I’ve been there? You know something?”

A sly smile played on Varric’s lips, he shrugged slightly. “I might.”

“You’ve lived in Kirkwall your whole live. How would you know what is happening there?” Cullen shook his head.

“I’m still a dwarf and even if it seems like my job is to just sit in Taverns and tell my wild stories, I do have connection all over Thedas.”

Cullen mumbled angrily to himself.

“Look, I’ve just left the Templars and went through pretty bad withdrawal at the time. I just wanted some Lyrium to take off the edge.”Cullen groaned. “Seeing as the Chantry controls the Lyrium here, I thought it would be easier to get it in Orzammar. I found a Smuggler and she agreed to give me some if I do her and her friends a favor.”

Varric chuckled “Female Smugglers, they’re a sneaky bunch.” He leaned forward, lowering his voice. “So that’s how you ended up wrestling Nugs in your smallclothes?”

Cullen nodded. “I swear they greased the damn thing.”

“So you wrestled Vermin in return for Lyrium for three years?”

“Not quite, it worked for a while, but…” Cullen ran his hand through his short hair. “Apparently my business partner wasn’t a Smuggler after all, her husband was. He was wondering why his stash was running low and
followed his wife…”

Varric threw his hands in the air. “Andraste’s dimpled butt cheeks. We’re you the human…”

“….that was chased through Orzammar by an angry dwarf swinging an enormous hammer, in nothing but his smallclothes?” Cullen sighed. “Yeah, that was me.”

Uh, what? The Cullen fans haven't done anything of the sort, or at least none of us in here have insulted any of the potential new companions. Don't presume to know our motivations, clearly you're not a regular in this thread otherwise you'd already be aware that we aren't like that.
