Oooo, I've never seen/heard of that interview. I'll do some digging around!

My theory is that if he isn't a companion/LI (and I really don't think he will be) then he'll at least be of some importance. I mean, why bother to have GE in the studio so early into the games development if it was just for some piddly little cameo/minor npc role.

I remember he talked about how he was very thankful for Cullen's fans and said they were really involved (or something like that.. invested, maybe?).  He also mentioned that he very much liked voicing Cullen, and being part of his (Cullen's) personal development; he seemed very much attached to Cullen's personal history.  It exists, I swear- though it seems like it's completely disappeared.

Even if he's not a companion, I sure hope we find out soon. I firmly believe that the DAI's development is far enough along that they are certain who the companions will be.   Like many of you have said, I'd rather get the disappointment over with.

Anyhoo, yeah, MLaw said we'd most likely hear about the rest of the companions next year. DG has also said that, yes, they have known who the companions are for a while.

I'm 99% sure it was after because I faintly remember the tweet sparking my curiosity to do some research on my own.

Damn.  I was just about to ask if anyone remembered how long the time was between the announcement of the games and the announcement of companions came about for DAO and DA2.

About Chill.. I wonder which picture was drawn first? In the stabby picture, he has big vibrant yellow eyes, but in the bald picture, they look blue.

Eitherway, definitely see the Nosferatu resemblance. Personally, I don't mind the baldness. Plenty of hawt bald guys! However, that chin.. I don't think he'd look so bad if that was shortened. It makes the face look so much more gaunt.

I wouldn't worry, he didn't say it was anytime soon, just that there's still a lot of info about the game that they are planning to reveal before it comes out next year.

Yeah, the chin definitely has character  

Well, we just won't know until we see him in-game.

If none of the male LIs interest me, I'm sure I'll end up liking at least one of the female LIs. All of my Hawkes ended up sleeping with Isabela at some point because she was my favorite character  I wonder if they'll make Cass an LI or not. I think that's a natural assumption but I'm honestly not too sure.

...and I realllly want a female dwarf companion.

No; in the interview, Greg Ellis mentioned his sons/family, and specifically how he felt about voicing Cullen. Sorry for being difficult XP if I find the interview, I'll be sure to post a link here.

That's true. Like in ME2, Miranda was originally supposed to be a blonde, but then they thought dark suited her better.

Weird, since her VO and face model was blonde herself!
