I love the fact that even from the three companions we've seen so far, you can see how individual they look, even down to their scars and stuff. I just hope as much effort has been put into the other returning characters, important npcs, and more importantly the character creator. I want my Inquisitor to look as unique as the companions themselves.

Me too! Of course, that just makes me impatient to see what the other companions look like, but that's not going to happen for months.

I am excited about the character creator, though. From the looks of things, we're actually going to be able to have long hair this time. Not collar-length, but genuinely long. That's going to make character creation even more excruciating (or am I the only one who spends hours at the Mirror of Transformation?), but I can't wait to see what everybody comes up with.

I spent hours in both the CC and mirror of transformation. I dread to think how many hours I'll lose fiddling around in DAI's CC before I even start playing the game!

Oh good god...I just realized the same thing...

And everytime i get a new game with character customization, my hubby's always, hurry up and pick stuff, play the damn game already.

He doesn't understand that I have to look at this character on end and should like it lol

I got one of my friends into DA and she just finished Origins, went straight to 2 - and she said she woke up in the middle of the night way too excited, and spent two hours creating her character. XD

LOL, yeah that always baffles me too!

That's why I hope they'll just bring out a demo of the CC, rather than a demo of the game. That way we can spend days/weeks perfecting our character and then load it into our game with a face code (like ME3 had) when the game ships. Which would also mean we could jump straight into the game... after a few final tweaks and checks to make sure our character is definitely perfect, LOL!

Yes I love this! I spent a ton of time on Mass Effect 3 demo because of the character creator. I tweaked my FemShep until she was *just right*.

CC is seriously one of my favorite parts of any game. The only problem is with DA2, the lighting was so dark, I ended up giving my Hawke orange blush e___e;  I didn't even realize you could change things in the Black Emporium back then so she had orange blush the entire game.

Also, for any PC players -- they released the minimum/recommended requirements for BF4. I'm assuming they'll be similar to DA:I since it's the same engine, and I am pleased that my laptop will still be able to run it. yaaaay

LOL, I did the same but with hideous blue eyeshadow!

Do you have a list of the specs for BF4? I'll see if my PC can handle it.

Right here: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/371/index/17300245/1

It's on Can You Run It, too.

My computer meets minimum specs so I'm probably not going to upgrade unless my laptop dies within the next year

Hmm i see that the recomended  part says  that the operation system is windows 8... does that mean it wont work in windows 7? Apart from that looks like i meet all the requirements since my  dear nerd husband upgrated my computer a month ago <3<3<3

I'm thinking about getting a gaming rig and joining the PC crowd next year. I hate computers, with a vengeance, but I just feel sooooo meh about the PS4/XB1. Comparing stats just has me asking myself "which one of these 'features' is least annoying..?" and I'm supposed to pay 400/500$ for that??

H*ll no.

Well depending how well you want your computer rig built up it can get up to 1000$ or more for example  my husbant spent  $1500 on my new computer

This guide here is what I am following to build my gaming computer. It tells you what you need, and what price range you can build from. (The guide does assume that you already have a monitor, however.) I would go for the $600 or $1000 range.

I really want to play SWTOR, so that's why I'm building it. Plus, it'll be fun to say "i built my own gaming computer." XD

My thoughts exactly!

Yeah, I built a gaming computer several years ago (outdated now and switched to a laptop). I've always been more of a PC gamer though. I'm just hoping DA:I looks somewhat decent and runs smoothly

I built my first PC a few months ago as I was disappointed in what I was hearing about the XBox1. I think it is a better investment.

I have come to realise that PC gamers get such good deals on games (compared to XBox) and the great thing is that you can still use your controller to play some of the games (or a gaming mouse for ones that don't like DA).

Edit - oh and I forgot about mods!

Oh my god, mods are amazing.

I don't think I could stomach more playthroughs of DA:O if I didn't have "Skip the Fade." ha

My graphics card just gave out so I'm taking a good long look at my gaming rigg as well. Luckily we had a old one laying around so we got it up and running again but I have to lower the settings a little on ME3. Oh well.

Hubby and I take turns upgrading our our computers and next time it's my turn but I had planned to wait until DA:I comes out and just make it perfect for that. Think I will stick to that, would be so much fun having a brand new game looking great on my computer that it's worth lowering the settings a little while.  (Also I'm pregnant and have had zero energy for gaming, just sort off come home, eat and fall asleep. Playing through LotSB in ME2 has been done in 4 sittings because I just fall asleep, it's crazy. So no point with fancy upgrades at the moment. Miss my gaming-fun. Ha ha, my happy thought now is that hubby promised to babysit in the evenings when DA:I is out so that I get to do the first PT straight away. True gamer love, he's the greatest).

Awww. That's really sweet. :)

But yeah I figure if I'm going to get a new gaming computer I'm going to wait it out until like, right before DA:I comes out. Technology gets outdated so quickly nowadays. I could  buy a way better computer for what I spent a year ago.

Yeah, but I'd rather pay 1500$ for something that I can get at least mildly excited about AND use for other stuff than shell out 500$ on something that I just feel is an insult at this point. I will not pay more than an american for a box that is geared solely to the american market, and I'm just not feeling the PS4 (plus the controllers aren't great for my hands).

The money's not the issue, it's that these consoles aren't providing a good service to me as a customer. I'll give it a few months though, see what the end result is and if I've missed features that I think I would enjoy, but if I'm just paying for slightly better graphics/performance then it makes more sense buying a PC.
