Are ALL companions romanceable? 'Cause my brain might explode. In a good way.
David Gaider
No. Not all companions in DAI will be romanceable, sorry.
Mmm, I don't know that this tells us much of anything, though. Afterall, we've never had the situation where all companions are romanceable. Presumably a situation like that would great increase the romance content, which they've said they won't do. I'd say Varric could still be in or out.Wiedzmin182009 wrote...

LOL Love this. Sounds like a fanfic waiting to happen! I always headcanon that half of Kirkwall is in love with Cullen. And, he's oblivious!Sifr1449 wrote...
If Varric and Cullen can't be romanced (perish the thought), everyone should at least be in love with them, so our poor Inquisitor doesn't have to be alone.
Personally, I'm hoping that if we get to explore the Inquisitor's homebase / castle, we get to discover that half of the female (and some of the male) staff are living out their own version of this thread, having arguments over who's dreamier.
Cause c'mon, we can't be the only ones to notice?

Holy monkey... if they put in a library where all the books were snippets of all the random stupid theories and stories we've bounced around in here.... I just.... it would be the most amazing thing to ever happen in the history of video games.LolaLei wrote...

That would be hilarious!

I feel like I need some more new info, particularly about companions.
I sort of feel burnt out by it. I'm sure there are things we've haven't speculated about, but ... I dunno. It's like in the weeds of the details now, I suppose, instead of the big announcements.LolaLei wrote...
Man, this place is surprisingly dead after all the info we got last month, lol.
So what is that... like 5 1/2 pages single spaced? 2.75 pages per scene...ag99 wrote...
PatrickWeekes @PatrickWeekes 16m
Two new scenes, about 2500 words. Both of them summarized by "Fighting, plus WAMP-WAAAMP!" (or your sad-trombone onomatopoeia of choice.)
Expand
Allan Schumacher @AllanSchumacher 14m
@PatrickWeekes As long as there are tears... #muahahaha

Wondering now if it's dialog heavy. Oh, the things I ponder.

Idk Allan's reply kinda makes me think its about a romance scene maybe? Since the writters "love" fan tears , also didnt DG said they were gonna cut back on those? Or maybe its not a romance related thing? Hell I have no clue

Wouldn't be romance, Cameron Lee had all the romance scripts the other day so those must be done and pretty much ready to be recorded.

So I finally broke down and bought Dragon's Dogma, because frankly I'm getting tired of replaying DA2 and ME3, lol. I can get lost in that game, I was surprised that I spent 6 hours on it the other day. But as fun as that game is, I'm so spoiled by BioWare, I can't help but keep comparing it to their games. The companions, the interactions, the story ... honestly I don't even know what the story is, I only know that damn red dragon eat my heart and then some guy jumped out of a portal and is now following me ... Also the game doesn't look that great (on Xbox that is) I even installed the HD pack, it still doesn't look good and people complained about DA2 graphics. I'm also lost all the time and utterly confused on what to do next in a quest. On the plus side though, I love the CC, my character is gorgeous, heh.
The last game I was able to play without comparison was "Last of Us" and "Tomb Raider", beautiful games and I was in love with the characters. I was so sucked in by those games that I didn't even think about what was missing or not.
Anyway, DA:I can't come out soon enough, I'm going through BioWare withdrawal here!

Curious question: I recently finished re-reading Dragon Age: Asunder. I read it mostly to see where exactly I can fit Cullen in before and during the conclave (for that story I am super behind on posting, sorry!) but was surprised on stuff I picked up that I didn't notice the first time I read it.
One thing sticks out though, and forgive me if this has already been talked about, but how is Seeker Lambert able to sense Cole that day in Evangeline's room? Do Seekers have some power that Templars don't have? Was this covered in DOTS (I haven't seen the movie yet) or at some other time?
