I only ask because I was invited to that one. Made me curious to know if lots and lots of people were, or if it was a select few (meaning that I probably won't be invited to another some day soon).

You have to remember that DAI will likely be more like a SP game the an MMO like TOR. With DAI Keep this sounds more like a feature testing then actual game testing (Last I checked the game is still in alpha stage). While MMO's also have to do server straining to see how many people their servers can handle at only one time.

Ah, good point. All is not lost then...

yeah, I re-read the FAQ and it says that altho only a few folks will be selected at first, they'll invite more  after a spell in order to test the strain on their system. So, hopefully eventually we'll get a chance!

LOL Speaking of red lyrium, just noticed a kinda cool thing in the red lyrium demon's outfit. We've seen elsewhere that he seems to be some kind of mutated templar, with the templar breastplate just visible on his chest.

This one makes me realize, as I wondered why a demon would need a skirt to cover his nether regions, that he may be wearing a tattered templar skirt. Huh!

Also, notice the red lyrium shard hanging from a chain around his neck. Could that be part of how they're mutated? Or perhaps it's just part of the uniform?

Yeah, what is up with those red lyrium pendants? Did they get more from the Thaig or did they chip them off of Meredith? I've heard of bosses hanging around your neck like a chain, but that's ridiculous!

Well the demo image does show the Templar shield but he doesn't have a skirt, now the second image of the e3 trailer I don't really see a Templar shield just a skirt looks pretty raggedy and not really like a Templar skirt tho could it be some random commoner turned into a red lyrium monster? Or a dwarf maybe?


EDIT: I guess they could have hid the sheild on the e3 trailer so we wouldnt know its a Templar that could explain it... but ya looks like the lil chain they have might be whats turning them nuts...

The camera angle is also sufficiently different in each one, that I don't think you'd see the breastplate in the official still. If you go to the super highres version, it may  be  peeking out behind the hanging red crystals. I think it's just the lighting that makes the colors on the skirt bleach out.

In fact, the skirt, the necklace and the breastplate sword of mercy show up on every red lyrium demon (right click, view image for high res).
