There haven't been any confirmation from BioWare going to Gamescom until like a couple weeks prior, so I wouldn't count them out.
I just bought Dragon's Dogma a couple days ago and I have to say it's pretty boring in the beginning, at least it was for me. It picks up when you get to the capitol and start the wyrm hunt quests. Now I'm really loving it and I'm almost at the end I think. There are still a lot of things that frustrate me or confuse me, but I do keep learning new things.

LOL Welcome to the Cullen thread! Always "vaguely concerning" but always in good fun!Mr. Bob wrote...
Honestly, I'm always so flattered and humbled to hear from anyone who likes what I've done with the costume, so it never gets to the point of it being a bother. Ever.
Jenn has indeed been really supportive, especially considering she's only played up until Ostagar in Origins and hasn't experienced how great Dragon Age is. We threw a Meredith costume together for her early last year in about four days(in spite of her not knowing who the character was), but she usually prefers being in plainclothes when I'm in my Alistair costume(Dragon*Con this year was a prime example of this).
Regardless, I'm not planning on leaving her for anyone else. Sorry.
ALSO! The podcast! I am in. Just keep me posted.
The cake video was rather adorable... seeing the stills from the cons I didn't realize you did such a killer Alistair accent. Kudos!
Also, loving the Meredith cosplay. You don't see nearly enough templars, IMHO...

I don't think I've even told the whole Cullen thread yet (sorry guys!) but I recently got Mr. Gaider's blessing (not just permission -- blessing - yay!!) to cosplay Bianca (the person, not the crossbow).
I've already spoken to Chad Hardin who was really helpful about answering some of my questions about the character and her outfit (you can see the exchange on my twitter). I'm having it made now.
Most of it would probably be done in photos on deviantart or whatever, since I can't really afford to travel to a lot of cons (sadly).
Would love to hear any advice you have, though!
About cosplaying itself, putting together an outfit, and how to handle negative (and you probably also sometimes get creepy too-positive) feedback from DA fans.
I understand that you're busy, but I'd love to hear anything you have to say!
Also, Cullen thread hiiiiiiii. I've been lurking.

I think what I said was...
Can't wait to see your costume brush, assuming you'll let us see pictures of actual you?? Or at least actual you as fictional Bianca.

I downloaded the Xbox demo for Dragon's Dogma but I can't get into it. I have a really hard time playing games with a controller, I'm a mouse and keyboard kind of girl. Plus I tend to like games more for the story and characters, rather than the fighting, and if I suck at fighting with a controller, well... I tend to get frustrated. Which is really funny, because I first got DAO on the Xbox and played right through it, but then I loved the story and characters. After I beat that one I got the PC version so I could play with mods.

@KiddDaBeauty Hej Emma, vi har inte fastställt den än tyvärr. Vi hoppas såklart!
Awww:crying: I was really hoping that they would come to Gamex. Had a toon of fun seeing DA:II and ME3 there earlier. Really looked forward to seeing DA:I. Keeping all fingers crossed.
I live in Stockholm so it's the only Con I ever been to. Would love to travel to one of the really big ones some day.

The support means a lot, because it's nerve-wracking to think of putting yourself out there like that. I'll keep you updated. Seriously, thanks again!!
Chanda, the demo doesn't do that game justice at all imo. But then again, the story is more combat and exploration based than story based, and it is tougher than most games as far as combat goes (or at least that was my experience anyway).
Then again, after playing Bioware games for so many years, nothing else quite captures my imagination the same way anymore. :/

@Brush - Nice to have you back! It must be awesome to get that kind of support from the dev's, sounds like a great idea.

Seriously, I'm hype to see your results! Feel free to spam the good ol' Cull-thread with links and pictures!
Perhaps I should look into cosplaying myself. Haven't done a cosplay in 9 yearsand I'd love to prance around in costume again. Just... so much work =)
Keep your fingers crossed, hold your thumbs and hold your big toes! We mustn't give up hope, Lion may save us!SilentK wrote...

But yeah it may be best not to hope too much, I suppose.
Guess I'll go take the demo for a whirl, then! =)Commander Kurt wrote...
@Kidd - I don't much care for the combat in skyrim either, it's significantly better in DD. And as Chanda mentioned, there is a demo you can try. As for gamex, hope springs eternal and all that jazz. Do you usually go by yourself or with others..?
I used to go alone, but I usually go with a small troupe of likeable folk I've befriended through Gamex nowadays. Also been planning on trying to meet up with SilentK for a bit, and Svanhildr is thinking of crashing at my place so she can attend more easily.
Come around and say hi if you want! =)

No point, let them dislike what they wanna dislike. At the end of the day their pissing and moaning won't sway the devs minds to remove him from the game, anymore than us squeeing and begging would to get them to make him a companion/LI.
In a way we've already got our wish anyway, we know he's in the game thanks to Greg Ellis' tweet about recording Cullen's dialogue. That's what got them all riled up in the first place, because he's made it into the game a third time.
