So is there quite a bit more interaction with Cullen if you aren't a mage? Enough to bother rolling up a rogue or something and not Grey Warden-ing Bethany? I don't like DA2's combat and the only class I found not entirely blackboard-scratching-noise-level irritating to play was the mage but more Cullen is more Cullen!

It was hilarious watching him throwdown with himself whilst taking himself away to the circle. Very surreal! 

Man, you should see the scene with his angry yelling face as he takes down that giant rock demony thing in the deep roads, he looks so ****ing awesome! I downloaded this fan made super HD mod patch, which makes everything look a lot prettier too.

The only problem with modding Cullen's head onto everything is that while you do get to see his full range of facial expressions, it just makes me more impatient for DAI, and possibly more likely to be disappointed if we can't get him as a companion/LI or whatever.

Naw, it's just that one scene and you can youtube it, unless you're interested in another playthrough anyway.  Otherwise, it's all identifical as far as I can remember, down to the interchangeable banter "I've been hearing disturbing rumors about you/your sister, Hawke. I hope they're not true."

LOL I bet!  Having multiple Cullens in a scene is always chuckle worthy. And often drool worthy.

Well might be worth a try anyway after all they changed lots of stuff with the patches so it's not exactly the blood bomb explosion it was straight off the bat and you would only have to get through the deep roads bit to see the scene anyway......and I'm bored. I usually like archers, I'll go and make an archer and start Hawke's epic journey to see her sister taken off to the tower.

Lol, I'm not. At that point he's still very "RAWR! MAGES ARE SCARY!" 

Gawd, I hope he's at least romanceable in DAI... it's all getting kinda ridiculous now, LOL.

In fact, even in Act 3 he's still "mages can't be trusted, bloody ****** takers! Rar rar rar!" And yet at that point in this ambient dialogue in the Gallows he'd already starting to warm up from Act 2, so again I think that's down to the game being rushed that his reactions seem a little odd sometimes... that or he's got a personality disorder. Could be an interesting layer to him, actually.

I know how you feel.  After that demon killing introduction from Cullen, I was ready to have my Hawke confined.  Where was the 'I'm a bloody mage, you insanely handsome Templar person...Arrest Me!' option huh?

I might be one of a few, but I'm actually glad that he wasn't romanceable in DA2 simply because there wasn't enough interaction with the companions to get a decent handle on their life/likes/dislikes/etc (beyond their immediate goals), so it would've been a total waste on Cullen because we want to know ALL the things about him, lol.

I think he's just 'smart' about it....

Like he has the brains to know to be careful, hell even suspicious, but he's level headed enough to know that just plain out killing a group of people for something they weren't involved in isn't right. Got to love a man with enough commen sense that he's willing to push his insecurities behind him to stand up for something he believes isn't right

Oh I can agree with you on that note!

Besides, with the way the new graphics are looking...I'm hoping that the new visuals will do him justice lol. Here's hoping that this game is just as long if not longer then DAO. So that party interactions are longer!

I'm worried that he's not going to look like himself. I hope they've at least kept his stubble, furrowed brow, dark circles and hair style the same.

I wonder if they've given him a few scars? It would make sense for him to have a few what with being a battle hardened warrior 'n' stuff.

He's a bit like that in DAO isn't he. I think you only get the mage killer ending if your PC is the one to insist the mages aren't possessed. If you leave it up to the Templar's then he's way less of a psycho at the end. I mean he's not exactly cuddly either way but there's less of a body count....and that's really what I'm looking for in my gamining LIs!

Yeah, I think this idea is appealing though. Companions looks changing on what you do. Or wethere they even become companions at all depending on your choices/actions

Poor you!  I hope you feel better soon.

Let me know if you find anything cool, I'm super bored and procrastinating like crazy over the huge backlog of work I'm supposed to be doing.  I'm going to play DA2 later but I've shoved everything onto an external hard drive last time I decided that I was done with it and it's so bloated with mods etc it's going to take an hour to transfer back onto my machine!  I have bad mod addiction issues.  

and clearly, I'm going to keep on wasting time until someone starts shouting loudly at me.

I think they'll do fine with aging Cullen a little bit, I mean look at what they did with Kaidan. Buffed him up a bit, salt&pepper hair and 5 o'clock shadow ... rawr.
