Well that could be true...however, a lot of the companions from the leaked survey had kinda showed up in the game , such as the elf girl, gray warden and Iron bull , and I kind of doubt that  they will include 4 worriors  even tho personally I dont care how many warriors we have as long as we get Cullen but other ppl  dont like to have unbalanced classes apperantly, so... unless Cullen changes his class or something.... 

There indeed were templar rogues in DA2. Maybe Cullen could be a rogue? =)

In fact, even in Act 3 he's still "mages can't be trusted, bloody ****** takers! Rar rar rar!" And yet at that point in this ambient dialogue in the Gallows he'd already starting to warm up from Act 2, so again I think that's down to the game being rushed that his reactions seem a little odd sometimes... that or he's got a personality disorder. Could be an interesting layer to him, actually.

He has lots of conflicting thoughts that he has issues sorting through, I feel. It's not as simple as just warming up to mages, he's been through so much he's set to go off at anything. And I imagine this could be even more prevalent in DAI after having seen the worst of the templars, as well.

Another of my favorite moment is when he admits he had no luck interrogating the "ah.... young...ladies" at Blooming Rose...

Just to inject a note of caution... we shouldn't forget Alistair... I'm hoping they can see the essence of Cullen, but I also feel like the new engine is a whole new playing field. Whatever they do, he'll certainly look different.

And yes, Cullen will change from DA2 to DAI as he changed from DAO to DA2 (and in a good way, unlike many others..Alistair... Zevran...  the worst being Teagan to my taste...)
So far, I find the "new" Varric and Cassandra convincing.
In fact t I'm more concerned about what they could do with Cullen's behaviour and personality.

I'm sure they'll age him well, with laugh lines and darker hair and...woops sorry...off track
