Okay, so, there was a discussion about last names earlier and how they could be important to the storyline? I think I found where Cadash could fit in:

http://img12.imagesh...2/5669/hfpa.jpg

(Forgive the terrible image quality, I am a dirty console user and must make-due with the camera on my phone. ) This is from Witch Hunt. The elves of Arlathan fled from the Tevinter Empire and the Cadash dwarves took them in. So, whatever thing that's going on with the Veil could have to do with the Eluvian, which ties back into Morrigan.

I totally forgot about this, and wanted to share with you guys. Hope this feeds the speculation fire for awhile!

EDIT: So the image is actually really, really big. :wizard: Probably for the best to just click the link.

Just to inject a note of caution... we shouldn't forget Alistair... I'm hoping they can see the essence of Cullen, but I also feel like the new engine is a whole new playing field. Whatever they do, he'll certainly look different.

(*sorry, apparently I'm a bummer this morning*) :(

Hey, Auntie Mello will soon cheer you up! *hold her tablet*

And yes, Cullen will change from DA2 to DAI as he changed from DAO to DA2 (and in a good way, unlike many others..Alistair... Zevran...  the worst being Teagan to my taste...)
So far, I find the "new" Varric and Cassandra convincing.
In fact t I'm more concerned about what they could do with Cullen's behaviour and personality.

LOL D'aww, you know just how to cheer me up!! :D:D

Yeah, I'm sure however they redesign him, we'll get used to it... like I have with Cass and Varric. Same, same, only different.

That part wasn't written by David Gaider, it was written by the fan who commissioned the art from aimo (morrigan****yeah.tumblr.com). David's comments are just the last part... calling the art "relevant to my interests."

In fact, even in Act 3 he's still "mages can't be trusted, bloody ****** takers! Rar rar rar!" And yet at that point in this ambient dialogue in the Gallows he'd already starting to warm up from Act 2, so again I think that's down to the game being rushed that his reactions seem a little odd sometimes... that or he's got a personality disorder. Could be an interesting layer to him, actually.

He has lots of conflicting thoughts that he has issues sorting through, I feel. It's not as simple as just warming up to mages, he's been through so much he's set to go off at anything. And I imagine this could be even more prevalent in DAI after having seen the worst of the templars, as well.

Obviously, but that's not what I was talking about.

My point was that the game was rushed and at times it made his actions and lack of reactions seem odd. And I don't mean his conflicted feelings towards mages and the Order in general.

Hm, could be it's revelant because she might die (either as an option by our hand, or in general), or just revelant because it's Morrigan and he's working on her stuff right now.

That's just something that gets said a lot in reference to Morrigan fans, especially where someone is observing how they care a lot about Morrigan, and ignore everything else.

Fan1: Did you hear they're bringing back playable races?
Fan2: Will Morrigan be an elf now?
Fan1: Not that I know of.
Fan2: Then it isn't relevant to my interests.

or

Fan3: We'll be able to play as a human, an elf, or a dwarf, same as DAO.
Fan4: Or a qunari. They announced it at the beginning of August.
Fan3: Must have missed it.
Fan4: Yeah, I guess it wasn't relevant to your interests.

That's really interesting! I wonder if that was sort of a foreshadowing to what can happen in Inquisition, if they were already planning it back then. Maybe what the statue says will come to light.

>.> I would have no problem letting Morrigan die for science lol

Along with Leliana, Varric, Shale, Oghren, and all the other charactes people love that I could care less about lol

I wouldn't actively kill them though; that's just weird. Like the people who knifed Morrigan before she went into the mirror. Like.... why??

Exactly. I mean, I'd do it to see the outcome out of curiosity, but I wouldn't kill them off purposely for my final canon game. It just seems kinda pointless.

It's kind of like the part where you can choose not to release the Water Dragon in Jade Empire, or in DA2 where you give Fenris back to Danarius, or take the deal with the demon that wants Feynriel... I tried them - for science - but I couldn't live with those choices so I went back to a previous save and made a different choice. As much as I may like/dislike some characters, I just couldn't stand the fallout. Even those that annoyed me, I couldn't stand to have them that disappointed in my PC.

(Seriously, though, if Morrigan dies, I may weep for a while.)

And that is why I feel so ambivalent about Morrigan.

As a character, she's OK, but as far as I'm concerned her story ended two games ago. In my games, she's the one my Warden's lover had to screw to keep both of them alive. And I'm supposed to look forward to her return... why? In terms of emotional investment, I'm just not feeling it. It's rather like going to an awards banquet in honor of your husband's ex.

They keep turning the male protagonists' lovers into these godlike mythic figures that will impact the world for generations to come... and they never give the players of female protagonists a reason to care about them. While the male LIs I do care about are relegated to insignificant cameos that reek of fanservice.

So yeah, I'm kinda hoping that Morrigan and Leliana will be roasted by dragonfire in the first three seconds of the game and we'll never have to deal with them again.

I don't hate the games! They do a lot of things right. But this part really rubs me the wrong way.

Lets just say there are alternate things that can happen regarding Morrigan...

What would be interesting to me is, what if she has the wardens or Alistair's kid. And she dies. Would she ask Inq to search for said father? Or would she plea for you to take care of the kid for her? Maybe she doesn't want the baby daddy to raise the kid. Specially if the father is a King.

I wonder if Cullen is a party memember, how he'd react to you helping with either scenario.

Maybe, she knows of Flemeth's ritual to enter another body...

If the kid is the wardens, I wonder if there would be a cameo or something. All of this could lead to most of us crying our eyes out lol

But, if she doesn't have a child, I wonder if the warden would make an appearance, if you had a male warden that had a romance with her.

Still, the child thing. I would like to know if you would end up with a quest where you got to find Alistair/warden in the deep roads or something like that. But if Alistair/Warden was made king, would they want their bastard child. Hmmmm so interesting the possibilities that could occur with such a scenerio.

And Cullen, if he's trying to protect mages from the crazy red Templars, I could see him becoming very protective of this child

I can see where you're coming from. I felt the same way through my first play through.

But then, when I decided to befriend Morrigan more the next few times. I realized that she had become quite close to my main character and was just trying to find a way to make sure her friend didn't get killed.

But yes, I agree, the male protags always seem to have their ex's or lovers risen to some God like stature. At least Alistair got in a comic I guess LOL<3
