I wonder what their basis is for choosing people for the beta.
Famous YouTubers and gaming personalities, people that are close friends with the devs, and what's left gets given out at random to the people that applied... that's my guess anyway.

Still, we'll find out if any of us got accept sometime in November/December by the sounds of it.
That would be good. Sounds like there might be a few rounds before it's released.

The hair thread might be depressing but the 'I don't understand the harrowing ' thread is pushing the boundaries of sanity. I gave up lurking when an argument erupted over whether it's appropriate to assume fire is hot if it isn't explicitly stated to be so in a fictional setting.
To pretend to be remotely on topic - Cullen is handsome and an interesting character. I like him.

Oh but it's so much fun to watch! Join usss... in the front seats. We lurkers brought popcorn!
On a related note, I can see why fully realistic hair would be... troublesome. With most CG movies that have realistic hair movement, they have a ton of processing power devoted to getting it to move properly.
Also, on a thread related note, I am currently playing a female mage origin and when cullen ran away, I laughed out loud - I hadn't played that origin before, but I was expecting it, and it was still adorable and hilarious. And then the annulment scene before fighting uldred was just sad

I don't mind so much if the hairstyles don't flow or move freely, so long as the hairstyles themselves look good. The DA:O hair mods didn't move, but they looked nice and were a million times better than the ones given to us in the vanilla game, lol.

If you, unfortunately, lack the necessary self-control to forgo opinions entirely, then for the sake of others please, please keep them to yourself. Particularly if it involves anything that might indicate that women could apply a criteria to those they wish to engage romantically with and not just wait passively for a man to find them desirable. It's just not lady-like.
Edit - took way to long to type and what was originally under Lola's post is now half way down the page. Sorry - I was responding to her comment about the Cullen and fangirls attitude earlier.
@Laisen - LOL

You can see how much we care about our hair. Most of our avatars have modded hair styles because the original game hair styles are just too ugly. I'm excited to see what they've come up with for hairstyles for Inquisition.
I do agree the mod styles look better, and I would use them. Sadly I play on console...

That looks awesome - at first I thought he was a little off, but then I realized he looks a bit more realistic. Like I figure he'll look in-game in DA: I. Are you using shots from there as reference? (apoligies if that sounds stupid, i haven't really been keeping up on info releases on the game)
Also, is this all done in illustrator or drawn and scanned in (fellow artiste - so I'm curious

@Chandra and Lolalei - As silly as it sounds it was the constant reading of how ridiculous the Cullen fan-girls were and the seeming forum wide contempt we're held in that made me stop and think about why it was that the only vocal women speaking out collectively were the butt of everyone's jokes. Anyway, it made me first lurk and then seeing how awesome, friendly and supportive of each other you all are, sign up to Cullen's cause myself. So there you go, you're all great in my book.
