He was dead, lol. So either Anders died and it was scrapped, or Justice took over so much that Anders no longer exists and now the body is starting to die slowly.

You know, it is curious how much he resembles Christof given how I did think that was mostly the corpse thing. Hmm, maybe that's even why they scrapped it...? I actually don't know much about the back story of it.

DG wouldn't tell us, he said they might use it in the future for another character... gawd knows how that'll work.

Ah. Makes sense, I guess. Still... creepy. But IF we ever see Anders again, I'd expect he'd be in a similar state as Christoph was. If memory serves, the devs said he was dead since the game gives the option to kill him in DA2 anf they claim they won't override such choices anymore, with characters that can be killed. Though... he is the only one with a built-in override because of Justice. lol!

It was hard for me to choose but since it sent me on a rampaging "I WILL prove to you how wrong you lot are about we Cullenites!!!" bender for a couple of days, and then I'd come in here and b!tch, I decided to leave it behind. Tumblr scares me in general these days, though.

I'm kind of wondering if Justice will play some part in DA:I seeing as how the Fade is spilling out. Yeah, this always kind of annoyed me. Anders has truly excellent plot armor! Why would Justice let Anders be killed with a simple dagger. (In his short story, didn't Justice save Anders from a terrible wound?) It's frustrating because they're just soooo afraid of the angry fanboys. And really, if Leliana can come back from having her head chopped off (which I'm honestly totally okay with), AND you know Morrigan will return even if stabbed, why can't Anders come back? It's annoying lol

Something else that bothers me is that the devs are constantly referring to the fact that Zevran shows up in DA2 even if you killed him. They're always apologizing profusely for this. But NEVER a mention of how his romance is totally screwed up in all versions of the import. So... pointlessly kill a character for lolz and get mad because he returns in an optional side quest. Devs: OMG WE'RE SO SORRY!!!!  But... romance that character for the entire game then get heartbroken when he glitches and pretends the relationship never existed AND sleeps with another character. Devs: lalala... Oh by the way, did we mention we're so sorry Zevran returns from the dead? That will never happen again! 

This has obviously been bothering me lately lol

Too Matrix-y?

That is quite an interesting theory indeed meanie. As far as I know the current theory is 'Justice can save Anders from death when stabbed by a sword, but when murderknifing, Anders is not in 'Justice-mode', so he can get killed'. Sounds a bit far-fetched to me, seeing how intwined Anders and Justice are by act 3, but if that is what the devs are calling... Been reading too much 'Anders is dead' from mod posts in the DA:I forum to have any hope of seeing him again

I wonder what happened when Kristoff-Justice 'died' in the Awakening epilogues, as even the cards question what happened to Justice. Not sure how much of a 'canon' those cards are, but they did not suggest that Anders was anyway near when Justice left Kristoffs body. So perhaps Justice can linger around without a body to host, as he got trapped when he got kicked out of the fade? Nonetheless, if it turns out that Justice is going to hijack Anders body when Anders gets killed during DA:2, I am going to be a sad panda...

I doubt Justice would be able to tear the veil on such a gigantic scale, no matter how corrupted he would be. But who knows, my headcanon tends to be far from the 'actual' canon anyway.

Hmm.. You know what being a crazed spirit would probably want vengeance on..? The Maker. I could totally see Vengeance going after the Maker (and the black city), corrupting and using his enemies the templars as meatshields in the process. Or he has just decided to roll his own little version of the ROA on Thedas, thinking the place is irredeemable.

But in order for Vengeance to be the bad guy/infected, Anders romance would be screwed regardless of your choices in DA2. Would they do that?

Oh man, I LOVE this idea. Heh. It would be sad to see Justice so fully corrupted that way, but he would make  an interesting Big Bad. Yeah, I guess he could just... leave, if he wanted to? I do like your idea as well of it being accidental, could be really tragic if he somehow managed to turn back a little in the Justice direction after it happened. I do love corrupted justice causing havoc though, be it deliberate or not.

True, I agree with you on that. I was more thinking in the direction that Justice senses the murdering attempt and takes over in order to preserve Anders life (as in: our task is not yet complete!). Kind of the same way as Wynne keeps standing because of her spirit (although that was a whole different kind of cooperation). Please note that I am not convinced that Anders has lost his will to live. Depressed? Yes. Thinking about suicide? ... depending on the ending, could be yes, but still...

I think we will see our share of demons, since they now get 'free access' to the mortal realm thanks to due veil tearing. I don't think any demon looks scary... Well ok, the shades freak me out and the anger demons are annoying with their *flop in the floor*.

True, I agree with you on that. I was more thinking in the direction that Justice senses the murdering attempt and takes over in order to preserve Anders life (as in: our task is not yet complete!). Well, he sure doesn't put up much of a fight, but things could be different once he actually feels life ebbing out. And I guess pretty much anything is fair game for the writers at this point, it could probably happen exactly as you describe.

I'd be surprised if we don't see one again since there aren't so many different types of demons and this game sounds like it's chocked full. What I really want to see is a male desire demon...  something like this or this.
