D'ya know what I hope this time around? That we can get a bro-mance with a female character. Kinda like how Garrus and Varric were totally Shepard's bro (regardless of gender, unless you romanced Garrus). I'm kinda hoping Sera will fill that role, if that really is her in the tavern picture.

And then he comes in from the side with a group of his templars as if he wasn't fighting at all, LOL! That game was so rushed.

Crazy to think that they're designing and implementing new creatures for DAI, I would've that aspect would've been done by now.

Crazy to think that they're designing and implementing new creatures for DAI, I would've that aspect would've been done by now.

Maybe  tis a new monster that they have just thought about  and wanted to put it in the game, regardles they still have a year so I would expect them to add new stuff

And R2 that line is from the movie "Tangled," and so I was thinking of Flynn Rider, who is actually telling Rapunzel's story, not his own!! 

BUT--I googled it and saw it is also a Dr. Who reference (which I don't watch, or rather, I only watched the third doctor on PBS way back when). So I'm guessing you probably meant that??  

LOL No, it was actually a Tangled reference! So, good point about it being Rapunzel's story. I just like the line. It was that or "I was born a poor black child..."

Yeah, I've had lots of she-mances, or whatever you want to call them. Morrigan, Aveline, Isabela. Didn't like any of their romances (obv excepting Aveline), but they were awesome as BFFs.

My theory is that after the death of Emeric and Thrask, coupled with Keran leaving the order, the female Templars made it their mission to protect Cullen at all costs, since he was one of the few decent (and dishy) blokes left in the Gallows!

Seriously, have you seen the other Templars in Kirkwall? Who'd want to fantasise about Ser Roderick's mutton chops and lyrium-addled Samson anytime soon?

That's an interesting question, Danny! It's easy to think that your companion is uniquely loyal to your player character... until he's been the companion of more than one. I suppose, independent of my individual characters' personalities, I'd expect him to be much closer with Hawke than the Warden. He was friends, or at least frenemies, with Hawke for seven years, continuing to work with him/her by choice. His time with the Warden-Commander was much shorter, and he seems to feel the opposite of loyalty to the Grey Wardens.

As an extension... I wonder how this will play out with Varric...?

Yeah you worded it a bit...okay A LOT better than I did lol. It's more about who they'd be more loyal to given the opportunity where they had to choose. Lola brought up a good point that he just might walk away and I agree with berelinde it's a bit hard  to say without context, but I wanted to provide the most...objective(?)...or maybe agreeable Hawke and Warden.

It might be an easier question with Anders because he spends more time with Hawke, but what about Varric is he more loyal to one or the other? It's a bit early for Varric since we don't know how screwed the Inquisitor might have left Varric.

I kind of felt that way about Aveline, but a definitive most fans think that way lady...er bro would be cool. I approve

The romance
options will not be released until sometime next year. Gaider said he’d
like to release them February 14th, but that just seemed like a desire
rather than a set date. They said the reason for this is they don’t want
to say someone is romanceable, only to find out they don’t have time to
program it in and then disappoint people later on.


The Qunari you can play as are Tal-Vashoth. This means you can make your
female Qunari a warrior if you so choose (traditionally those women who
follow the Qun do not typically fight)
There will be mounts you can ride, but they have no plans for mounted combat. It isn’t ‘Dragon Age Chevalier’


Morrigan is not a party member, not romanceable, but she is also not just a
cameo. She will play an active role. Gaider said a lot of our questions
after DAO should be answered with regards to Morrigan.


The writing team looked at a lot of history when building Thedas, and drew
from a lot of cultures and societies when creating their worlds. For the
Qunari they first looked at Muslim society during the Middle Ages with
regards to their advancements in technology and medicine among other
things, and then branched out from there into other cultures. The art
team also has a lot to do with how a group of people will look, and what
real world cultural influences will be brought into their society.

We should find out what is going on with Hawke and his/her disappearance
