Who's getting the new DLC coming out on Tuesday? I'm not excited about the new elf character, but I am excited at the prospect of more dialogue/banter between my party members.

Agree; not stoked about Tallis, but looking forward to some new Qunari info and companion banter. So I think I'll get it. I'm looking forward also to seeing Hawke interacting in a hoity-toity (sp?) noble setting.

I thought the new Redemption trailer looked good... except for the slightly unbelievable-looking Qunari character.

And... more Cullen motivation coming up!

No Cullen, as others have mentioned. I did catch one major line taken from Mass Effect 2 that made me LOL so hard I hard to reload to hear it again. I loved all the nod to fans sprinkled here and there, but the new elf character and general story were not to my liking, storywise it seemed rather weak IMHO. I'm sure lots of other people loved it though. I far preferred Legacy, but then, I also love Carver. <3:)

Glad to hear you say that, Bekkael, because I was starting to think I had somehow missed something. I've seen so much love for MotA, it seems quite popular. Personally, I also liked Legacy more.This one was fun and lighthearted, but Tallis never appealed to me, which seems to be somewhat key to one's enjoyment. Then, there were dumb little things that bothered me, like why wouldn't fem!Hawke wear a dress to a fancy party? I couldn't help but think a few times that they had written it primarily for a male Hawke... But the banter and cameos were worth it, IMO.

Oh well... in watching this fun vid of a whole bunch of companion banter from MotA (sorta spoilery, but cute), I ran across this Cullen v Anders vid.

@R2, I lmao'd when Cullen lifted his eyebrow in that crazy way, too much fun! XD
And about Hawke's dress - I haven't played yet, but my friends said Hawke was on a stealth mission, and we all think it's better to do in pants, because skirts are heavy and make a lot of noise when you walk.

I agree. I think it's a lot harder to enjoy MotA if you don't like Tallis...which I didn't. I also think FemHawke looked absolutely ridiculous dressed in male attire. Very disappointing, and I don't buy it was just because of stealth. All the other ladies at the party were wearing dresses which made her stick out like a sore thumb, so it just seemed they didn't bother to make separate attire for a female Hawke, or female Hawke players were secondary, which automatically makes my blood boil. <_< All around, I was greatly disappointed with the whole thing. I hope the next offering is more in line with Legacy as far as story quality.

That video with the Cullen/Anders character swap was really funny, and I agree if that happened, Act III would have been more interesting to me.

Yeah, it makes sense at some level she'd want something more practical for her mission... but Tallis's pants outfit was WAY cooler. And feminine-looking. Hawke was just wearing Saemus Dumar's outfit, complete with button-down shirt, but in pink.  When I first saw her in it, I did a double-take, as it almost looked like her head was floating in the wrong place above that big collar. *sigh* Gave me a good reason to go play Legacy again, tho.

Watched the first episode of DA: Redemption and surprisingly Tallis bothered me a bit less. It was brief, but I still liked seeing DA in "live action" -- esp seeing real-live Templar armor. No big skirt, but I found myself thinking his pants looked a lot like Hyperbali's under-the-skirt Cullen sketch. The Templar was also kinda yummy, in a Cullen-esque righteous sorta way. Hee hee.

We've been kinda quiet so thought I would contribute some pics. I was reminded recently that Cullen personally trucks Beth off to the Circle (wasn't a Cullenoholic yet on my first and only PT where that happened). I went back and told him "Over my dead body" to watch the intense little stand off. So, here's Cullen getting ready to throw down with my random Fereldan refugee. Heh, not even breaking a sweat!




Also got kind of a nice character beat for Beth.


@Mallika - Agree! Crossing fingers and preparing for totally new potential PC LI for him.

I do like Hawke... but if Cullen is a romance option in DA3... oh my goodness. I might just flail myself to death.

Cullen and Nate* - they look like real people imho - which makes me wish I could track them down and stalk...erm, say hi 

BSN overall seems quietish atm - lots of folk seem to be on Tumblr.  We also need something meaty to discuss here - give us a nice Cullen DLC.  We could talk about that for ages

It has been rather quiet here at BSN. It makes me wonder if I should finally figure out join tumblr.   I  also was wondering if it's because ME3 looms on the horizon...

Ah, Cullen featuring in a DLC would be the perfect thing! *crosses*fingers*praying*to*dev*gods*

And, I don't have xbox so can't comment on the textures. But on the PC, I know I've seen him reskinned to be a  bit more . . . photoshopped and I find I still prefer him with dark circles and all. He definitely looks more real . . . and freakin' adorable.

OH, and Avilia, love  your Bali commission! That Nate pic is awesome!  Incidentally, part of what keeps my Cullen muse going is one of your Cullen backgrounds on my work PC, Avilia! So thanks for those again!

@R2 I'm happy you liked them It might be ME3 - its certainly more active up that end of the forums. I read about..oops not ME forums best not say what I was reading today.
