Yeah you get it when there's only him and the Warden. I missed being able to randomly kiss your LI and watch how the other companions react in DA2, that was one of the best things about DA:O.

Oh man... you know, I don't think I ever took Alistair anywhere for alone time. Hmm, yup, you can tell I wasn't nearly as in to DA when I played Origins. So many things I missed!

So I suppose you don't see that much of the kisses in DA2 either... Although, in these cases, I think I discarded some of the more visible ones for alignment probs.

It's a shame about the clipping problems, I guess that's why John Epler mentioned about dreading the spooning scenes lol, this was during a meeting, so I guess he's in the process of drawing up rough drafts currently. Either that, or he doesn't like romance scenes in games lol.

Oooo latest Mike Laidlaw tweet, to which I got a reply to:

Daniel Berrios: "Hey Mike, did you guys expect the fan following that Charade Amell got? Hope you are all well."

Mike Laidlaw: "@Mike_Laidlaw: "She’s pretty cool, but no, you can never quite predict who will resonate of the secondary cast."

Me: "Like Knight-Captain Cullen, he's massively popular for a secondary character!"

Mike Laidlaw: "I am aware! He's a tough cookie, though. Really needs to pick better postings, though."

Me: "Like Orlais *hint hint* :-D"

Good to know he's aware, although we are kinda hard to ignore lol! Maybe they do pop in here occasionally to lurk?

Lol a tough cookie, I like that! I'll keep you guys posted if he replies again.

Awesome, Lola! Good job! Hmm... tough cookie. I wonder if that means that it will start to get implausible that he shows up for another posting somewhere where all hell breaks loose. :( That may not be a good sign...

Or it could be a subtle hint that he's gonna be third time unlucky by going to Orlais for whatever reason and being dragged into another situation (this time as a companion?)

It would be a bit of a giggle if it turned out he was in cahoots with Sandal and Bodahn...its why they all keep showing up wherever there's trouble. :pinched:

I honestly wouldn't be surprised especially given that all three of them are somehow connected to the Gray Warden.  For all we know they just have a "Trouble-detector" in their heads and they just end up going to it without even noticing.  Perhaps they feel they owe the Warden?

I would be so sad if for some reason Sandal and Bodahn were not in the game. There is no Dragon Age without Sandal and his... Enchantment?

Oh man! The waiting and suspense on news about DA3 is killing me. I want information...at least a little hint about what to expect. I'll definitely go out and celebrate whenever they announce the companions and Cullen is among them.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if they didn't show up. Didn't DG call them the R2D2 and C3PO of Dragon Age, and that they would somehow make their way into every story? That and the fact that they said they were heading to Orlais gives me great hope.

Well they pretty much did give a hint(setting wise anyways) in DA2 about where DA3 will be...  Orlais.  Since Sandal and Bodahn are the star wars droids of DAuniverse and Bodahn said that the Divine herself was interested by Sandal's abilities.  So yeah something huge will be going down in Orlais next game.  I think there will also be something going on with the Qunari too since Sten back in DAO was pretty obvious about the Qunari planning on breaking the Llomerryn accord sooner or later so something may or may not be going on Seheron-wise too...  Though we'll probably begin to hear more about DA3 next year since there is a possibility for DA3 to be released early 2014 or late 2013...  I'm sure they have a bunch of stuff to cover and make-up for(thanks to a rushed DA2) so I'm thinking perhaps a 2014 release for DA3(or whatever they'll call it)

Omg, wouldn't it be awesome if David Gaider wrote a little comic/story about Sandal and Bodahn leaving Kirkwall for Orlais and running into Cullen along the way, who's also on his way to see the Divine (for whatever reason) so they all end up traveling together because Cullen can protect them and Bodahn can provide the lyrium, whilst Sandal could help out by Enchanting Cullen's weapons and armor lol.

Someone turn this into a fanfic!

I'm worried that they'll kill Bodhan off, especially since he was talking about how he was getting old and wanted to make sure Sandal will be looked after when he's gone.

Oh dear... of course the song inevitably pops into my head.

"We're off to the see the Divine! The Holy Divine of Thedas!
We hear she is just simply divine, if ever a Divine there was.
If ever oh ever a Divine there was, the Divine of Thedas is divine because...
Because because because because because...
Because of the divine things she does..."

I think Sandal has more to him than we realize, I have no doubt that Sandal is perfectly capable of taking care of himself(more or less)  At least Bodahn is actually taking the steps to make sure Sandal is properly taken care of if he were to die.  I'm sure Sandal will have a part to play in DA3.  He's too adorable to be forgotten!Image IPB

Cullen is blatantly the Tin Man! "If I only had a heart!"

Omg, why has this not been drawn already?! Where's Aimo when you need her!

Yes, Cullen is definitely the Tin Man. That leaves Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, and Dorothy (and her little dog, too). Which are Bodahn and Sandal? Because I will definitely draw it (badly).

I dunno. Seeing the way DG talks about him, I have a hard time imagining the two characters becoming that important. Particularly hearing how that whole Sandal prophecy thing was basically a random easter egg of randomness.  Personally, I do hope they're included, but in a story framing role--like the Greek chorus--as opposed to active players in the story. For example,  I could see them setting up shop at the Grand Cathedral or something and still serving as the go-to vendor and enchantment shops. Like, the Divine somehow meets them and finds them "curious" and "entertaining" so hires them to serve the Chantry.

Damn, it's a shame we don't know who the new protagonist or companions will be yet! I'm sure we could come up with a companion for each.

Gah, you must!

Tin Man = Cullen

Scarecrow=Sandal? (wants to ask for a brain, despite already being the smartest one there?)

Dorothy = your PC, just wants to go home...? But realizes she was home all along... so long as she's with Cullen ;) (Daaawwwww! *vomit*vomit*)

Cowardly Lion= ???  Bodahn (thinks he's just a cowardly background character, but is really courageous in his protection of Sandal?)

yeeaaaah.... stretching...

With a sigh, Cullen continued down the road towards Orlais.  Considering the mess he was leaving behind back in Kirkwall, he was glad that he was getting a new assignment in Orlais.  Can't wait to give my report to the Divine and take a break, Cullen thought as he continued his moderate pace down the road, keeping his defenses up should any blood mage decide to attack him.
"-knew we shouldn't have taken that last break, my boy."
"Enchantment!"
Cullen stopped, he thought he heard those voices before.  Perhaps they are leaving for Orlais as well?  After mulling over it for a while, Cullen thought he should investigate.  As he continued down the road, he first noticed a wagon full of possessions, ignoring the contents of the wagon he continued along the side of the wagon to where the voices came from.  Reaching the front of the wagon with a raised eyebrow he recognized the two dwarves almost immediatly to be that of Bodahn Feddic and his son, Sandal.

My poor attempt at a fanfic Image IPB
