Agree. You'd think it would be worth watching for at least the lore... and the hot templar dude... but they even got some of the lore wrong. The hot templar dude I'll still take, tho.
We'll just have to take away his armor and take the hot templar dudeYes, even the lore was incorrect... *sigh*
Why oh why isn't there more templar cosplay???
You want to put sexy males in templar armor just so you can take it away again..?
I'm definitely in.
The templar dude was the only thing that could make redemption a bit bearable for me, to be honest. If only he had not been wearing latex armor but actual metal... Ow, and the lore mistakes were a real turn off for me. Not that I am such a lore nerd, but please... at least try to do the simple things correct

That.would.be.awesome! Means I wouldn't have to be afraid of a white-washed Hawke appearing, either. My canon Hawke is a multiracial can of kickass.LolaLei wrote...
That makes me wonder if part of the CC will be available in the Dragon Age Keep in order to recreate Hawke and/or your Warden. If it is I'd probably spend hours fiddling around with it just seeing what type of characters I could create, lol.
Depending on what the NDA looks like, I may fill this thread with screenshots should I be chosen for beta. Wouldn't think for a second of doing anything I wasn't allowed to be doing, however =)LolaLei wrote...
Omg, if that's the case then I sincerely hope that one of us in here gets put through for the beta so that we can discuss it in detail in here.
Same with Heroes of Dragon Age as well, if anybody's interested. I've applied to both the DA betas. Only that'd be more info and less screenshots I guess since it'd be on my phone.
What he said does, imho, not necessarily mean that they are thinking of having Anders come back looking half-dead. More like they were having plans to do something with Anders but decided against it or couldn't do it for whatever reason, and that plot could still be recycled for another character later on.LolaLei wrote...
And then there was that second Anders face found in the DA2 files where he looks half-dead. DG said they were thinking about using it in the future... which is worrying.
Kind of like how they don't talk about Exalted March, since supposedly several plots of Exalted March is being retooled to fit within Inquisition (personally I think the Exalted March expansion's content will be made into one of the main questlines, such as Nature of the Beast or A Paragon of Her Kind).

The man diffused a lightning bolt by taking it in the chest; I think we can safely say that he wasn't the most accomplished of templars. Maybe the others gave him novelty armor, snickering behind his back as he wore it..?

Well, to be fair, his armor was actually the DA:O templar armor, where the sword pointed up. But his shield was the DA2 templar shield, with SoM pointing down. So arguably there could be a reason he had both.Chanda wrote...

The DA2 version was lighter in the arms and shoulders than DA:O templar armor, which had chain mail on the arms.

I really liked Cairne (the templar dude) and although the lore holes bothered me, not the lady Qunari fighting, but the whole thing surrounding Cassandra. I actually wish she'd write some more on Tallis, but if she were to appear in game again I just want her to kind of tone it down because we are the main character and that needs to be reinforced

Yeah, I agree that the templar dude was the best thing about it, besides being a hotty, he did a great job. Nyree was also kinda cool, if only they'd given her more, erm, careful dialogue about Nevarra. It's just tough when it's part of the DA world... but has things that are wrong, so can't be cited as part of the canon. I did like Tallis better in the vid than in the DLC.Danny Boy 7 wrote...

I did too actually. Still, I think that character is fundamentally problematic. Say what you will about the Qun, I know that there are people who find the basic ideology appealing, but their solutions for both mages and non-qunari can't really be excused.
Tallis is this sympathetic, jovial character who approves of violently subjugating mages and dissidents. It's weird to me.

Yeah, I know what you mean. In the DLC, her justifications of the Qun stuff made my head spin. In DA:R it was easier to gloss over that. Get back important artifact from bad guy. Stop bad stuff. The plot was more straightforward (from what little I remember of it).Commander Kurt wrote...

I understand it as a certain amount of blindness to the people that basically saved her from her previous life. I think she was a slave like Fenris. It basically gave her a purpose, made her an equal and rescued her from a crap life.Commander Kurt wrote...

She's willing to overlook conversion because it was good for her, so it must be good for you and I sensed a bit of mistrust for mages in her interactions with Josmael.
In my mind it's not really a dismissal of the bad, but a focus on the good.
