I remember DG tweeted that shes not a nice person or something like that when someone told him that ppl are interested in her
LOL, even more reason for people to want to shag her. A badass with a ballbreaker personality, the men are gonna pee their pants in excitement.

Either way, the lisp thing is interesting. Makes me suspect even more her PAX voice was just a placeholder.
Yeah, I was really surprised to hear her voice sounding Ferelden when she's supposed to be Orlesian.

As for exes it seems a sad truth that every woman has at least one total nutcase in their history. I think it teaches us what we're not prepared to tolerate in the name of love. Makes you stronger and wiser but feels like total crap at the time.

Am I horrible that the first thing I thought when I read Viv's got a lisp is 'Inquistor with a lisp....sounds like a lot of spittle flying about.'

LOL, gawd imagine that! I wonder if the frostbite engine can handle spittle droplets?
Yeah, I agree. It teaches you what you definitely don't want from a relationship, lol.

Well, at least that's one romance where we can't magically 'fix' our LI with intercourse. Unless the Inquisitor's privates moonlights as a speech therapist or something.
LMFAO! Like Cable Guy where he gets punched and loses his lisp for a second.

OMG that concept art looks almost photo realistic to me. I'm not getting a strong a uncanny reaction to it though. To be honest I'd place Morrigan (love the new look but felt there was something a little off there) as further in the valley than this guy.

Yeah, that was just that one article author editorializing about what gamers will think about her. Peculiar that they'd put that on her wiki page since it doesn't actually say anything about her, just about the writer.LolaLei wrote...

Ooooh, interesting quote from Vivienne's Dragon Age Wiki page in case anyone's interested from Cameron Lee, apparently.
"And Vivienne's got a lisp, thinks the end justifies the means, and is probably going to show up in lots of YouTube videos, if you know what we mean."
Does...that mean Vivienne romance? Or that she has her own music video or something?
LOL, I think that means that everyone is gonna want to shag her! She was pretty badass from the little we got to see from the demo.

Hi All! I'm so happy to see the thread alive and well
I find the uncanny valley much more uncanny in motion. The GTA V advertisements are still creeping me out ...

Those uncanny valley robots freak me out. I think it doesn't help that the robots movements are still quite robotic, which is freaky as hell as it is!

The youtube quote also shows up in another article that also quotes Cameron recently... but I can't recall which one it was. I thought it was also from that xbox news site, even by the same dude, but I'm not finding it. If the 'journalist' isn't the same, perhaps this was Cameron even editorializing on Vivienne's popularity during his remarks. The lisp is also mentioned in another article on that xbox site.Elfman wrote...
The quote is on her talk page, the lisp is what made it to the trivia section of the Vivienne page.

"During one of the demo missions I'm shown, the Inquisitor must send troops to either defend a lakeside keep against Templar assault, or protect the nearby village of Crestwood. Newcomer Vivienne - a former First Enchanter of Orlais, and the character whose romance scenes are probably going to account for the majority of the game's Youtube traffic - favours the first option, because a strong Inquisition is better for everybody."
edit: Note he does explicitly say romance there...

I think y'all are right about the motion thing and the valley. I remember thinking Morrigan was just ridiculously awesome until she started to smile and then everything just looked a little off to me, not too dramatic but just not quite right.

They haven't gotten facial movements down yet. Varric's frown in the trailer is also awkward.

Sounds like the "journalist" just coming up with any old crap to make it seem like he knows more than he does.

You know... seeing the multiple references to her having a lisp all by the same dude, I noticed that he describes Vivienne lisping based on the demo footage that sounds identical to what was shown at PAX (and to Lola in London). She didn't sound like she lisped to me... I wonder if he could just be hearing something wrong...? They do tend to get little details wrong in these articles...LolaLei wrote...

I didn't hear a lisp either, but then she only said like one thing, and lisps are usually formed on the letter S, right?
