Ag sorry using my phone to type...takes forever to explain. I just meant that there are quite a lot if really good displays other then the ones u mentioned. I will have to post the ones I remember of to show u.

As for Holly's, I like certain aspects af it. Like the pouches and the fact that she used different materials and that hopefully we will get to see that sort of verity in game.

Yea I guess you right there are, its just the ones that I have seen didnt look that great but i was just googeling some DA cosplay and quite a few good pics came up like

Aveline altho the sheild  is the only thing I dont like about that costume

Morrigan

The Architect this one is actually pretty badass

Leliana

Sweety go to deviantart and search dragon age cosplay. Amazing. One of my faces, that doesn't have any armor, is a mother daughter duo of flemeth n Morrigan they look just like them. The best part, her mom cosplaying flemeth lol

I thought about trying cosplay, but unless they come up with a middle-aged, value-sized heroic female, my choices are limited to... broodmother. Even that might be good for a laugh, but that whole head-shaving thing is a turn-off.

Well here is the thing about cosplay... even though I'm too square to participate :P It is about showing your love for the game / film / book / whatever. You don't have to be the "right" gender, skin color, or size. Of course, if you AREN'T then you have to deal with people on the internet trolling you and calling you names. But who cares.

Best thing about cosplay is seeing how enthusiastic everyone is about their love for the game (or whatever).

Heh. I don't know if I have the confidence to pull that off. It's weird. I could cosplay a broodmother and be totes okay with that (apart from having to shave my head), but I could never in a million years suit up and play Aveline, for example, because the first time somebody said something, I'd start to sniffle, and then I'd get embarrassed about losing my composure, and the next thing I knew, I'd have a public meltdown in some kind of vicious feedback loop.

So I have tons of respect for people who have the self-confidence to do it!

She's amazing! And if she wasn't adorable enough, she chose a pier as a backdrop for that Gallows feel. Nice!

Yeah I hear you :P I'm sure I'd dissolve into a puddle of tears if anyone every insulted my appearance online, too. Although actually once on FB (it was either a Star Trek or Dragon Age/Mass Effect FB page) some guy didn't like my feminist ranting so he implied that I was ugly. I know I'm not ugly (I may not be a super model, but damn it, my FB profile at least is adorbs!), so I just snarked back at him and had a laugh. It was actually quite funny.

Yea she is, I think that many ppl dont wanna cosplay as Cullen  because they might think they will have a mob running after them for doing so.. altho I would love to see more Cullen cosplay, hopefully if he plays a much more bigger role in DAI and if the devs aren't gonna make him look like a crazed chantry loonatick  maybe ppl will cosplay him this time

Some people will actually do comission work and build you whatever you want. A lot of them are on Deviantart. Some of them Cosplay to show off their design and fabrication skills. Bet they make bucket loads near Halloween and Events lol.

I like the male inquisitor armor. But the legplates of the warrior remind me of Sebastian chastity belt XD

LOL It's also rather, erm, religious armor for someone who is not beholden to the Chantry... altho at least it's different from the slightly overdone Inquisition logo everywhere.... altho, really, who am I kidding, I LOVE the Inquisition logo. <3<3 It's so ubiquitous I'm imagining Inquisition-issued underwear... with the logo on the butt! [[edit: and yes... if biowarestore were to sell those...  #justsayin]]

They should! Than I know what to ask for Christmas! :o But I also want them with the templar logo

YESSSS!

I have actually asked a friend of me yesterday for the possibilities and costs if I would want a templar costume. He is a smith/leatherworker, and I refuse to go in redemption-templar-dude-latex-armor. Would anyone warn me if there would be some Dragon Age related con-thingy somewhere near the Netherlands? (Germany/UK ok too, my French is sooo bad that I am not sure if France would be a good idea Image IPB) If I would really get plate armor it would be too heavy to take a plane...

The thread is dead but I wanted to add my two scents in about cosplay. Ive only ever cosplayed (outside of Halloween) once. I went to a comic con in Chicago and it was my first one, and my first cosplay. I went as Harley Quinn. I was excited about it, found a costume I was comfortable with (I have stretch marks from when I was pregnant and not comfortable showing off a lot of skin) but I also wanted my costume to be my own and not the same one every other Harley Quinn would be wearing. The thing about cosplay is that it's not about the accuracy of the costume. Its about showing your enthusiasm for the character/s you love. Be it accurate costume or custom made. I was excited up until it was time to leave the apartment and catch the shuttle that took us to the con. Im overly sensitive about my looks sometimes (I don't think I'm ugly or anything just sensitive) and it took my friends quite some time to convince me to leave the bathroom and go to the con. Here's the thing, I'm not saying everybody at a con will be nice to you and its all rainbows and sunshine...however if anyone said anything about how I looked, not a single one of them said it within hearing distance. It took literally an hour to realize that people LIKED my cosplay. I was sitting in front of a girl on the shuttle who looked much closer to Harley Quinn than I did, but when I opened my mouth to talk to my friend, I sounded like Harley Quinn. I practiced Harley's voice for months so I could get her voice and personality right. The girl behind me (who I was worried would say something about my outfit) was super impressed about how close I sounded to Harley. And when I got to the con, the only thing people said to me was to ask if they could take my picture. Within the hour, I felt much more confident. You'd be surprise how nice a lot of the fans are. My advice? Don't ever be afraid to show your love and enthusiasm for something you love. The internet is full of nasty people, but they are not the whole world. They aren't the majority of the fans.

I also wanted to add the album so you guys can check it out. There are two Male Shepards and a fantastic Aveline in there. Find them! Lol : https://www.facebook...80288324&type=3

I apologize for the long post.

I think I would have loved a DLC where you could have went to the deep roads with Alistair or even your LI. Think that could have been interesting. Besides, you know you were going there to die. So you wouldn't be able to be mad for your character dying, but I just think that could have had potential.

Btw, Lola, your vid, super cute!

That would have only worked with Alistair though. Why would the other ones go with you, they're not Grey Wardens.

Because they don't want you to die alone, in the dark, scared and frightened. Now that's true love<3

But it probably would have just been Alistair. Which is still fine. Maybe you could have met up with other Wardens doing the same thing.

See, I can see Zevran going with the Warden...if the Warden is female, he'd probably...help her along so she would not become a Broodmother. I dont' see Zev abandoning his warden that easily; he attaches himself at your hip as soon as you recruit him.

As much as I love Morrigan and Leliana, I don't think they'd go. Morrigan has her own destiny, as does Leliana. Not to say Zev isn't important, but I'd think his business with the Crows would be complete by the time the Warden's Calling came along.

I know one of my Hawke's will go into the Deep Roads with Anders. With the others, Anders will leave in the middle of the night.

-snip-

Sorry to drag this discussion out again. I'm just wondering if your Warden would allow for Zevran to come with you? It is a sweet, loving gesture, but why would you allow Zevran/Morrigan/Leliana to throw their life away, they could have a perfectly happy life after you. I guess they could also get depressed and kill themselves later down the road, but shouldn't you give them the chance to get another shot at love?

I just never got the appeal of "sacrifice for love", it seems a bit selfish to take anyone with you other than Alistair and even with him I would struggle if he hadn't shown any signs yet. I always head canon that my Warden just leaves one night and never comes back ... quick and painless, no good byes. Maybe leave a letter for your LI, so they know where you went and they have closure, but that's it.

I'm sorry, I guess I'm just romantically challenged.

Gamescom in Koeln, it always in the summer. This year it was end of August and saw plenty of cosplay there, for all sorts of games. I assume next years Gamescom BioWare will be there with DA:I promotion and not like this year, which was kinda lame.
